So where are the utilities located?? I didn’t see an electrical box, hot water heater, central air system or heater?? I think that’s important to know in case of emergencies. Where’s the plumbing? Those are not pretty to look at but it’s necessary for a home to have.

They need to add a stove under the microwave. I mean like how is one supposed to cook? Perhaps the island could house a combo washer/dryer on the side facing the kitchen. Those are essentials needed in a home. And where is the clothes closet? Would have been nice to have seen where that is ...... Personally, for myself, I could do with out the dishwasher. My hubby and I just wash dishes by hand, I mean like how many dishes does one or two people use for a meal? Beautiful home, but need those essentials.....

And storage and dont have pple trooping through your bedrm to the bathroom.
Have another tkuletbw handbasin or add another bedroom with another shower/toilet/basin with entry from the main area. Even make it bigger to also accommodate a washer and tumble dryer if wanted. Cupboards could be added in this room as well. The kitchen/lounge area needs expanding for comfort. You dont want your face 'IN' the tv!
2 more rooms needed plus expansion for the rest. They should make one for a disabled person while theyre doing this! The bedroom door is too tight a fit to get in there. It looks like you have to open the door fully, walk in then go behindbthe doir and close it! WHAT!!!

@@conservativejew3229 I think there are probably too many balloons there. When a slight wind comes they have to immediately come down. I saw many crashes that way. And when hundreds have to land it can be a mess. I never thought about the horses. Thanks for telling me. Sometimes, actually too often, we fail to see what consequences others have because of our "progress" (having stuff no one ever had before-like balloons). Deep bass coming out of cars rattling everyone's windows in the hopes that someone will look at them and give them some importance. Disturbs everyone but they don't care.

I would however, take out the dishwasher (I mean why in the world would you have dishwasher and not a stove?) change the cabinet space from under the microwave and switch over to where the dishwasher is and put a small stove in that space instead. I would also remove the microwave from where it is and just put it on top a small table next to the fridge and use that space for a stove hood.

Nice finishes, bad floor plan. An L shape kitchen with a smaller island would allow for a large pantry and more counter space. Moving the bathroom behind the kitchen would save a lot of money on plumbing, and guests would not have to walk all of the way through the bedroom to use the bathroom. It would also allow the bedroom to be slightly larger for a king size bed.

Otherwise, bright, airy and single story. I, too, could do without dishwasher. I removed mine from the condo I just bought, additional storage space was more important. One good thing about living in a smaller home, you really evaluate what possessions you want to have. I feel much less encumbered.

Agree! I inquired about building a small home. The builder told me it isn't cost efficient to build a tiny home, plus in the end there is no appreciation and difficult to resell which affects the value and can affect a mortgage. He indicated it costs more to build a smaller home versus a larger one. Why would I waste the money? I looked into the "tiny home" on wheels but the prices were outrageous for what you got, and yes no resell/appreciation, plus property ordinances, zoning and utilities. It is very complicated to deal with. I ended up with a small home 1300 sq ft for less than some of the tiny homes. And the demand for my home is impressive. Smaller homes can also require smaller appliances for example, and they cost more than the regular ones. It is a lot to consider. but having said that, I love this house, and would love living in it. when you do your homework, it is a lot to consider.

I live in New Mexico. Rio Rancho for a long time and currently in the foothills. I think this is a wonderful guest quarters. No closets required or stove needed however the microwave could be convectionnoven for its size if needed. Also no need for washer and dryer as guests dont need to cook ( we do that for them here) they can warn up some wonderful Sadies leftovers ! Haha but none of the above mentioned items stove closets or washer dryer are needed for guest quarters and the beautiful corralles location will always get a return on a casita. If its mother in law quarters a armoire will solve the closet issue and mom can come to main house fot laundry and dinner with the family. But a stackable wash/ dry a convection oven and armoire solve all the issues if need be. Love this corralles cutie!

The best little village in NM . The people of Corrales have water rights that allow water to be taken from the Rio Grande using little channels that can take some of the water from the river, It makes for a little oasis .I live on a giant sand bar called Rio Rancho next to Corrales. I enjoy driving thru Corrales on my way places. I wish I would have bought real estate there back in the day.

Love the big windows & airy feel to this design! The big front porch & back patio add to the appeal but I have to have a stove in any tiny home I would buy so wondering if that can be incorporated into this design. Just love those huge windows, I need to add once again, for in reflection, looking at this design once again, those large windows , make this tiny home, less claustrophobic, as some small homes tend to do, unfortunately! The more windows there are & bigger they are, the better( for my taste only!)! 💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙

I'm not sure how a stove could be incorporated. They probably didn't add a stove because it doesn't get very cold during the winter and it sounds like the building's purpose is short-term rental.

A beautiful tiny house . . . almost perfect. It would be easy to add an induction cooktop under the convection/microwave with built-in exhaust fan. The larger problem for me is that guests must walk thru the bedrm to access the bathrm. That could be easily remedied by redesigning that rectangular space with the bathrm first and then the bedrm . . . or the bathrm on the right and the bedroom on the left. I can picture a TH community of these lovely homes in a natural (not blacktop) setting.

This isn't meant for folks who entertain, nor for children. The trend now for single folks is to meet up with friends in a bar or restaurant or club, not invite people over, because almost no one has roommate-free space.

Or by switching the bedroom and the bathroom and making the bathroom a little smaller (it's a tiny house, no need for such a big bathroom) so you can have 2 doors next to each other. Also, it would be better to switch so all of the pipes are on the same side of the house.

This is a very nice tiny home! Reminds me of some vacation resorts I have stayed at. I really like the natural woodwork on the doors and counters, nice window views. Surprisingly "roomy" in the TV area, full size bathroom and bedroom. Better than most "tiny" homes. I also like the Casita style.

Very attractive house! Overall, a nice layout.
Though I, personally, would want more cabinetry or a pantry in the kitchen and it looks doable within the space that's allocated now underneath the kitchen window.
I love, love that the bathroom sink counter has space on either side of the faucet.
You see TOO many pedestals sinks or very small counter tops - I mean where are you going to put your toiletries when you get ready for bed?
You know, toothpaste, hairbrush, toothbrush, hand soap, nail brush, nightly cleanser?
Then multiply by two if you have a partner/husband/wife - you need room and NOT a small space to be cluttered and items falling into the sink.
Again, a very nice design and well thought out.

Agree 100%. Absolutely a beautifully built, decorated, and well designed house...As one gets older, this is the kind of place one should live in. Easy to clean, and when you die it is not a burden for relatives to come in to clean up the house, and liquidate its content... 1 only draw back is the lack of storage...A basement would be excellent...Not keen on any kind of detached storage space, e.g., container(s), or proper building for storing various belongings from years gone by.

There are convection and small ovens to fit in the microwave spot. I don't use one myself. Also, I recently saw a tiny home with a portable large glass stove top that plugs in. They clean up easily and store in a wider than normal drawer but only 3 inches deep! They love it too. It's a tiny home, so things are small. Also, the dishwasher is small and the sink is great to do cleaning like hand washables or gardening type things, etc. An electric grill for outside can also be an oven or get one of those pizza ovens for outside, can bake in it too. This place is adorable! I'd put an off grid outdoor shower and outhouse on this property too. Always nice to have out in the country or when have guests.... speaking from experience 😌

Stunning. But that island is way to large for that space, I'd replace it with a table and chairs. Is there a kitchen stove that I missed? Also a wood heater, I'd say a soapstone model, would be nice for winter. And I need a desk. Maybe a compact rolltop.

Ohhhhh Myyyyy Goshhhhh!!! I am so in love with absolutely everything about this tiny house!!! I know my sister Leanne would love this to when I send this to her! Love the design, the big windows ( most important to me as well as a big porch!), the kitchen with an island, the living room looks cozy & the bedroom! They all look very spacious & I love the bathroom! If I built this I would add a stove( live in Massachusetts but want to move to Fl near sons & wife & family), a walk in closet & a washer/dryer ( one on top of the other) in the bathroom. Only additions I would make but building your own house you can make changes! I soooooo love this tiny house & want it! It is absolutely perfect!!!!
