The body will change and adapt- in my experience. [Addressing my breathing issues was a game changer!] I encourage people to begin the journey [when they can] but start as young as possible. I am 72 now- and have had good results.
Ken, I am a food addiction counselor and am using this with compulsive Overeaters, Food Addicts and others and the study group really runs itself! Thanks for the video
DavidG here... like you Ken I make up bits of the programme myself. Within ACA groups, [and just for myself] I used the acronym N.O.O.S.E. No Oughts Or Should Everywhere. I will stick with a slogan or acronym- until I feel I have mastered the idea. Another one [not my own] was J.A.D.E.
Thanks Ken! I'm halfway through workbook in a small mens group. We worked together on the Steps workbook and then the Traits workbook first... I'm getting soooo much out of it it's amazing!! I would recommend it to anyone/everyone!! I just listened to your talk twice - you always give me a lot to put i the bank as they say. : )
Thank you! The workbook is very helpful if you are in a place ready (and in a safe place) to do the work. It's amazing to see your life shift as your Loving Parent becomes more present in your interactions and daily life!
Questions you mention three work books that ACA has published: the yellow book, this book and what is the third one? Am I correct that ACA is the only 12 step program that have assembled workbooks like this?
The other workbook is the Laundry List Workbook. I am not aware of any other fellowhip that has written its own fellowship approved step workbook. If anyone knows otherwise, please leave a note in the comments. Other fellowships rely on sponsors to guide members through the steps. ACA adopts a "Fellow Traveler" mode of support/mentoring.
@@willtveire The Big Red Book is the main text of ACA. The Yellow Book (Step Study Guide), Laundry List Workbook, and Loving Parent Guidebook are the 3 workbooks presently published thorugh ACA.
Love you! This overview is fantastic.
Thank you Ken, you have a very approachable way 🙏🏾

Could it be the 'red book'? I think it is ACA's main book.
