Short Scale Bass | Chowny Bass | SWB-2
Awesome, man! It's been described that parallel wiring outputs the average signal of multiple coils, and series wiring outputs the summed signal of multiple coils. Parallel can be heard in the Jazz and Stingray. Series can be heard in the Precision, Gibsons, and most stuff that uses the term "humbucker." But any "blend" circuit will be a parallel circuit. So a "dual humbucker" bass will have series wiring in the individual humbuckers, and parallel wiring connecting the two humbuckers together.

Before you played a note I knew it was a killer.
I was interested in the original SWB1 when it was first released many years ago, but I was concerned about the pickups being angled and the corner of the pickup digging into the thumb that rests on the pickup. Do you find this annoying at all? Being in Canada, I cannot play it before I buy it.
It's fine for me, but then again I'm only playing in short bursts. If you're playing a Springsteen 4 hour set it might be noticeable!

what's the difference with the SWB-1?
The SWB-1 has a EMG Pre-Amp. Active/Passive Switching. And Two Jazz Pickups.
The SWB-2 has a Retrovibe Stinger 77 Pre-Amp. Is only active. And has a Split Large Pole Humbucker.
Body/neck dimensions are the same across the two basses.
What about access to treble?
It has a 2 channel Pre-Amp. Bass & Treble.
