    The big bore idle sounds like an intro to a good rock band concert. I expected the bass guitar to come in.

    I've seen that old SS in Yokohama, Japan, in 2009. Same painting, same tank, same frame, same distribution. But with front fairing on.
    I wonder if it's the very same (surely, there aren't a lot of 70's Ducati SS in Japan).
    Oh memories...

    What are the advantages of a dry clutch?

    • @ampassionstruck9138
      @ampassionstruck9138 5 років тому

      1: they r not sunk in oil hence lesser power loss since it takes lesser power for the engine to rotate the dry clutch.
      2: sounds good n look sexy,
      ......but dry clutchs life is short and needs replacement frequently.

    • @frankbutaric3565
      @frankbutaric3565 3 роки тому +1

      You get to replace them more often

    • @ampassionstruck9138
      @ampassionstruck9138 5 років тому +1

      ..passion is the only emotion behind that!!...exposed belts n exposed dry clutch r what set ducati apart from the rest.

      @@ampassionstruck9138 The new machines are beautiful for sure but I am an old school Ducati enthusiast and many of us lament the passing of the bevel gear engine that Fabio Taglioni designed in 1974.. This is corroborated by the prices they are fetching today on the open market.

    I like Ducati’s. I would own one except for the valve adjustment maintenance. I have friends that own ducati’s. I have talked with Ducati owners. When I ask them what it cost to have the valves adjusted, they always answer, I’ve never had them adjusted..
    Maintenance is expensive. But that which ought to be done and isn’t is even more expensive

    • @frankbutaric3565
      @frankbutaric3565 4 роки тому

      The only thing more expensive than valve adjustment is when you drop a valve because you did not adjust or your belt breaks.
