I don't know why I never got into Sweet when I was younger but recently I've been watching Sweet videos of all kinds and the one person that stands out in every performance is Steve Priest, Great showmanship, he had a really cool way of playing his bass and what could anyone say about his vocals but WOW ! R.I.P. Steve.
Thanking all Steve's family for sharing this with all of us fans, GOD bless you all, Steve was and will always remain awesome, he had such amazing talent. Thanks for the music Steve RIP!
They gave the filming permission, so we have this exclusiv material on this channel, so all the fans around the world were able to part of this. Steve's music is still alive. 😊
Beautiful celebration of Steve and his amazing life. He has touched so many with his beautiful talent and great personality. Back in '98 or 99' My girlfriend now wife was able to get hold of Steve through AOL and asked him to call me as a surprise to wish me a happy birthday (she told Steve I was the biggest Sweet fan she knew). Steve didn't hesitate to say yes and on my 24th birthday I got a call from the bass player/singer from my favorite band! Although I was star struck we had a great conversation and spoke about music, touring and even real estate. He made me feel comfortable and almost felt like he was an old friend. Steve, thank you so much for all the beautiful music which will live on forever! Your music continues to move me and evoke so many emotions. You are the best. RIP thanks to Steve's family for allowing us fans to see and share his memorial ceremony. Chris
@@Concertsandmore You are very welcome! One of my most memorable birthdays! He was a great guy and it really made my birthday getting a phone call and a Happy Birthday from Steve Priest!!
@@Concertsandmore absolutely! Sweet have been my favorite band (by far) ever since I heard them at age 16. No other band even comes close. I have my 8 year old son going to sleep to Sweet and not just the Chin/Chapman stuff!
@@martinavandeweghe1870 In this video two ladies stand up at the podium. The blond in black and white is Lisa, Steve's oldest daughter. I think she looks like Steve. The other lady in the scarf is Marilyn who was Brian's first wife.
Lisa and Marilyn....two of the loveliest ladies in the world. Thank you so much for doing this wonderful memorial for Stevie and for sharing that day with us. I so wished I had been there and what a gorgeous church this is. Sending all my love to everyone who was there.

It is actually heartbreaking for me to witness the passing of Steve... I'm only 18 years of age, but a huge fan of Steve and his music with Sweet.
