The grapes are selected by everyone who grows them based on their criteria. The purpose of the selection of varieties and forms of grapes held by the author of the video at his dacha, in Poltava region was to get a set of plants that allows the family to consume the grapes fresh as long as possible, from the earliest to the latest time, including the winter period.
This work began in 1990. For 15 years, the following 7 varieties of table grapes were selected: Muromets, Vostorg, Kodryanka, Laura, Talisman (Kesha 1, FV-6-6), Strasensky and Original. Muromets first ripens in late July - early August. The original is last ripened and can be stored in the cellar in the winter until March. In order to have 6 varieties, the author discards the Original.
Of course, there are now many new varieties and forms of table grapes with more tasty and large berries. Therefore, if we plant a vineyard now, the author chose the following varieties and forms: Rombik, Valek, Laura, Academician (In memory of Dzheneev), Senator Burdaka A.V. and great. In the event that there is still a place for the seventh grade, the author would add to this set the Ruby Jubilee Krynova V.N.
