Russia and Ukraine engaged in heavy fighting during the night. The war against the civilian population with drone and air strikes has also claimed victims again. The Ukrainian General Staff also reported one rocket attack and 18 drone attacks. Twelve drones were intercepted. Russian sources reported strikes in Sumy, Kryvyi Rih, Poltava and the Vinnytsia region.
Meanwhile, the number of clashes at the front has increased to over 200 within a day, according to the morning situation report from the Kiev General Staff. The heaviest fighting is once again being reported from the Pokrovsk area in the eastern Ukrainian Donetsk region. The Russian army has recently accelerated its advance there. Units were able to raise the Russian flag in the long-contested town of Karlivka, as was announced overnight.
There are contradictory reports from the Kursk region. Russian troops are said to have regained control of the strategically important town of Korenjewo. However, the pro-Russian military blog 2 Majora only speaks of a regrouping of Ukrainian forces there. According to it, the fighting for the town is continuing.
