How do you afford things like gas, insurance, cell bill, car repairs/maintenance, food, etc? Are you both just dipping into savings or does blog income cover it all??
We currently rely solely on savings we planned this trip for years. To continue our trip we will need to get remote jobs at some point or get enough subscribers and viewers to make some money.
@@OutOfThisVan I'm impressed with all the gear & everything you guys have already...I have to imagine the initial costs was a lot. Well I'll subscribe & keep an eye out for videos. The whole van thing sparks my interest for sure :) what did work were you both doing prior to this if you dont mind me asking? I was looking for one of those Q&A vids.
We started picking up a little bit of equipment every year. We both worked in the accounting field. Not super excited but we made pretty decent money out of college.
@@OutOfThisVan It seems like good gear between the van, drones, cameras, bikes, etc. haha no way, I was thinking you guys were in that field too. Im with an accounting firm too...and I totally get why you left ...super routine/mundane lifestyle...but it does give you that sense of security.
I guess opposites do attract? Evan seems to always be happy to be experiencing and doing things; Melanie is always talking about how difficult things are (altitude, heat, cold, tired, headache, etc.)
LOL! This is Melanny and I am the queen of complaining but I promise I’m having fun. I also want the people of the UA-cam world to know the true conditions 😂
Oh you two just crack me up! Really nice video, time flew watching it! Thank you!
Haha thanks!

Yes, we definitely believe in quality over quantity. Melanny worked at PWC so yeah completely understand.
