Some of the ones I have gotten and didn't think I could wear turned out to be favorites once I gave myself time to get used to seeing myself in those colors. I agree! I did a whole video on the struggle with color. It really is the most difficult part. And in that video I talk about why. If it is possible for you to widen your color pallette (the range of colors you are comfortable with) I highly recommend striving for that because it will make wig buying much less stressful. Hugs!
I have gone through this wig journey with you. I buzz cut my head at the same time you did. I do struggle with color and get hesitant to try different colors. The last 2 wigs I chose 2 different colors in the same manufacture to get out of the rut I was in with color. Like you said manage your expectations. You do have to take each wig and make it your own. Easy to do? No, but the longer you are in your wig journey the more you want to try something different. My mindset was what if it is such a different color people would know I wear a wig. Most of the time I don't care if they do but I don't want it to be a subject of conversation. Thank you for the conversation regarding color. I feel more confident to try other colors.
That color is gorgeous I haven’t had my hair permed for at least the last 10 years I used to wear really curly I’m a little scared because now I’m wearing it really short and I am 60 I don’t know how it’s gonna look but I want to give it a try in the worst way. So I may try it just for the heck of it they have a deferred paying right now with Paula Young.Just out of curiosity have you ever gotten Deirdre from Paul Young? I think that would look adorable on you and I’d love to see you review it! Keep up the reviews I’m one of your biggest fans!! Lol

Those are two beautiful wigs but I am partial to Becky, she looks adorable on you, I love a rooted wig, my Innuendo had no root but under your instruction and with furniture makers i gave her a root and low lights, I agree with you about trying different shades, i thought I would be stuck with Shaded Peach from Jon Renau but since then I got two light blondes from Toni Brattin that I love, and a Dark Red, now I wanted anotehr Innuendo in Coffee Mist but it's on back order until next year, trying to expand my collection and I have learned that they don't need to cost a fortune to be cute and easy going, that Becky is such a cute hair but I can't have that many curls, I do love to see her on you and I think you migh have it on another caramel shade, also a beautiful wig...thanks for showing us the different shdes and the numbers that go with them, still a strugle for me, lol.
