My wife and I are psuedo sp grandma to the three girls across the road. We picked them up at the bus stop, took them to the zoo etc. We became the two grandmas and loved it. We were there for more than 18 years as they grew up. our last one graduated from high school last month. We are so proud of each of them they are all in college now and have grown up to be independent, beautiful young women, smart and confident . Their parents are like family to us and check on us weekly. It is a win win situation for all of us. The girls call us by our first names now. We are blessed.
I miss these types of videos! I love learning about LBGT+ family dynamics. I love that there are families with two moms who are thriving. I hope that I too will be part of a lesbian family. I want a girlfriend, and dogs, and a house with a library. You channel gives me hope
@@TheNextFamily How do you keep your relationship safe? I've been in so many dangerous situations in my life and I want to have that person, and to be the person, that feels like home
Not sure how I came across this but very interesting. It's worth noting that honestly the "it happens organically" and that kids find their own version of what to call their parents - happens in straight families too. Sometimes parents correct it back to mom and dad bc that's what's normal, but sometimes something different sticks. Used to know a girl who called her dad "dad - [his first name]". Not one or the other; both in the same breath. I guess that's just how it made sense to her as a little one.
the most important thing is that you are both moms. in most countries the laws are not clear, only the biological mother is considered the real mother, the other mother is excluded,
