Seeing Vetter's stylistic creation badged 'BSA' is always a treat. What a beautiful bike it is. Oh well ... Whatever Happened to the British Motorcycle Industry?
Had a look at that Bandit when I visited the NMM Live event the weekend before last which was, er, free to enter. From past experience whatever the entrance fee I’m sure you’ll get plenty of footfall at the BSAOC stand.
Looks like a great display, pity I can't make it this year but I need to save for some shock absorbers for my Bantam trials project. I wish they would paint those side panels on the NMM Bandit silver!
Yes Segsy but bear in mind the Honda CB/CL 350s were in production and selling by the gross in 1968. The Furys and Triumphs were going to be expensive too but they did have a loyal following I suppose.
Hi Gordon yes I think originally they were badged as a Norton as per the example at Sammy Millers museum - unless the NMM gave some provenance for theirs.
Hello Angus, been watching your rebuild of the A70, Rebuilding a late 1970 firebird. not much wear but the camshaft bushes needed replacing. where did you get the reaming tool. all the best, pat
Hi Patrick and thanks for the interest and comment. Crikey now you’re asking - I think I sourced it from Klempfs - certainly from abroad. Klempfs certainly have them but check they are for A65 rather than Triumph. Cheers.
Hi again Patrick - further to my previous reply I’ve just been thinking that there’s no reason why I need my reamer set any more so I’m willing to sell it to you if you wish - if so drop me a line on the channel email address shown in the video description box. Cheers.
When I was over in the UK, I spent forever studying the P92 at the National Motorcycle Museum. Great to see it in your video.
Cheers and thanks for the interest. Yes a good looking bike.

Indeed Dave - executive management incompetence and complacency is probably the polite way of saying what contributed to the demise.

Cheers Stew - agree we’ll hopefully get plenty of interest but the pundit costs are getting ridiculous.

Cheers Andrew thanks and yes I agree don’t know why they painted the side panels like that.
Nice collection of could have beens.

It's good too see the Furies and the Bandit, but what are the National motorcycle museum thinking badging the Norton prototype single as a BSA ?

Love the Triumph Bandit, is that colour Spring Gold? It looks 'greener'.
Hi MV thanks for the interest and comment. No it’s not spring gold but is similar but darker - officially either Cypress Green or Jealous Green.

Is that Bandit a runner? Has it got full engine internals?
Yes it has and does run I believe.
Does the triumph bandit and red bsa run or are they just mock ups?
Yes they both run I believe Matt.
