Last November we took an Uber from Marques de Pombel to the airport for just 8.27 Euro. This was at 5:30AM. It's only about 10min but can't beat the price & service and it's before Metro/Subway starts. Here because we're going back in October.
Been traveling a lot lately. I live in a Airport near the city center town. I'm amazed by how far the airports are from cities in other cities! I'm in Minneapolis. The airport borders the two major cities there. Just take a cab. Pittsburgh, Rome, and Athens seem like the furthest I've seen. Pittsburghs $70 Uber made me start looking at public transport when I travel overseas instead of just jumping into an Uber. Glad I watched videos like this. Oh my point! Lisbon is one of the close ones. Just jump onto the local metro. Not even a train to the metro, just the metro itself.
If you can, let taking an Uber be your choice rather than taking a taxi to the city. We took a taxi from the airport to Rossio and was charged 13 euros extra for bringing along 3 baggages. Take an Uber instead and rid yourselves of the chance of getting ripped off.
Thank you for you as well for the positive feedback. It´s much appreciated. I´m sure you will have a great time in Lisbon. Don´t forget to get some sun lotion as temperatures in Summer can sometimes reach 40C (104F). For the main attractions head there as early as possible, or later in the evening, not only to avoid the hottest hours but also the crowds. Have a safe trip!
@@MoMoAKA24 ah... well there is a place which you must visit, as it is really known and offers amazing seafood, the Cervejaria Ramiro. It is also associated to Anthony Bordain who was there once and praised the food and ambiance. Its a bit more touristic nowadays, but still offers an amazing experience. Nonetheless, I would advise you to get there early, to avoid waiting over an hour at the entrance. Check our visiting tips here travelguidelisbon.com/cervejaria-ramiro/. Bom apetite!

Thank you so much for your comment! Taxis won't charge you for luggage - they will be nonetheless hopeful to receive a tip in the end, although the tip is also optional.
I don't have good experience with taxi drivers in Portugal. I would suggest a Uber. If you travel light, just take the subway. It is cheap, fast and take you to most of the city.
Thank you for your question. Feel free to check the details on the luggage allowance in our dedicated post travelguidelisbon.com/transportation-from-lisbon-airport/ In particular, check the comparison table. Best regards
