I always use high fructose gear lube, it makes my bike run SWEEEEET!!!!
My dad taught me this recipe a longtime ago for removing bunions and cat pee smell in cloths. I didn't know you could use it for paint stripping too.

Just wondering did you use a SAE paint brush or a metric paint brush
klhlynn if you look closely, you can see it's a JIS brush

C4H10N4O2 the stripping process wont be efficient if you paint the stripper on in metric brush strokes with a unf brush and vice versa.....
C4H10N4O2 you cant be careful enough when trying to protect the aluminum. this is a job that takes time and care. you cant rush this like sex on prom night.
Guess it is one of the dynamic brushes, it adapts to SAE vs. Metric brush width, depending on the pressure applied.

I had some freshly powder coated parts lying around. I just had to try out this on them, and it stripped the coating right off, in spite of the coating being top quality. Badass!

I tried this and while I was still mixing it, it started smoking and then caught fire. I forgot to pour the concentrate into a seperate container before I added the dilution ratios. Doh!

tried acetone, a soya based stripper and nitro-cellulose combination thinner - all 3 soften the powder coat so that it can be brushed of with a wire brush easily.
A little Hard to follow, when do you use the gloves??
I used the formula and covered my ball spot, I had a full tuff of red hair the next morning, contrasts nicely with the gray.

I see you employed a metal spork to measure that concoction out.....must be some basass stuff if a plastic spork wasnt used.....
the first sporkfull was measured with plastic.. but I had to pull out the stainless spork to break up the clumps and measure the second sporkfull. i should do a spork video.. they come up often in faq's
I'm in Canada at the moment, would it be ok to use maple syrup gear oil instead?
i'll bet it would stay on surface of project better giving concoction more time to dissolve powder coat. Great idea! wish i'd thought of that.

In a pinch, I tried Aircraft Remover. Didn't see airplanes for days!

I mixed up the same mixture but it dissolved the aluminum and left the powder coat undamaged, what did i do wrong?

Fantastic! I wonder what is the shelf life of the mix? Why don't famous chemistry manufacturers sell it premixed?
Also, I bet it does not evaporate much. Is it possible to reuse the mix after filtering out the residues of the paint?

It's the perfect recipe for black paint, for other colors just add a small amount of ketchup and mix it backward. Trust me.

Funny thing is that if you mix enough of this and pack it into a pressure cooker is makes a great explosive. Like weed killer and sugar where the Fructose gear oil takes the place of the sugar!

Mr Ichiban I’m finding it hard to get my hands on a measuring Spork. Could I use a spoon instead or is that just being silly? Lee from across the pond U.K
buddybonus10 its easy to make a spork, just stab at an angle grinder with a regular desert spoon. Around 5 times should do it and if youre new to making sporks then use your left hand cos typing with no fingers is a bit annoying.....

Nope, a spoon wont do. In a pickle, you can weld a spoon and a fork together. Just make sure both are metal, welding steel to plastic is slow going.

For anyone with respiratory issues or concerns with safety gear don’t use a dust mask like in this video as it will have zero effect. Dust masks stop dust not fumes!

i bought a new camera and computer. still trying to learn new video software. when it warms up out in the shed, there are many things waiting to be filmed. i also found some good early access behind the scenes from some bike shows etc. on an old card. maybe i will try to edit that
