I have lived in Korea since 2015 and Halloween is always like this, but the major difference is there was planning. For instance in 2017, they had one alley for going up and one for going down. It is also not the only way to get to the street and metro, but it is the most common and itaewon is a relatively small subway station compared to others with few exits. I have not been to itaewon since Halloween 2022.
Thanks for reacting to this story. I go to Itaewon quite often and I refuse to go down that alleyway. It just gives me the eeriest feeling. They're working on putting a permanent memorial in that spot, by the way.

I watched the documentary about itaewan halloween incident on paramount + and just hearing the survivors story,angers and saddens me !
Survivor gilt is crazy. I've survived an illness. Many ppl died bc of that. I was not this seriously sick. And even thought i was (and still am greatful) an overwhelming sadness, helpfulness and guild over came my body. I cried, went numb thinking "why did they die and i survived. What a waste."
And that Was just in my case. I can't even imagine how intense that feeling must be if someone survives a crime or tragedy like this... Hope all victims, survivors and families found their ppeace🙏

I feel that have to get sick 2x a year. For me it is always the change to spring and the change to winter that get me which where I live is May and October for the changes. My best friend always gets sick the week of midterms and has to take tests later so I think I have the better deal out of us lol

IV unfortunately experience losing a child and what you said is not something a heroin but it's exactly correct. While losing a parent is of course horrible for a child especially if they're younger at the end of the day even if we don't entirely understand that as children we see how life works that people are born and age they grow older than die it's almost a concept that we are subconsciously aware of even if we don't entirely know how to process it is a young child. However when your child dies after the overwhelming and crushing in grief of the tragedy even if it was a death that you unfortunately was coming, it feels wrong. It literally feels as if the universe made a mistake and someone needs to press Ctrl z. I have no other words to describe it other than it just feels confusing and incorrect. I don't think it was in this video I think it was in another one, but either way the man who says that "there's a word for children lose their parents "orphan", but there is not a word for a parent who loses their child... it feels as if that's true simply because it's something that we're not even willing to acknowledge because inside, as parents, we feel like it's not supposed to happen so we don't need a word for it.

Hey you guys, do you know like how in America you have Amber alerts when somebody gets kidnap everybody in that area gets an alert of the description of the child and their age or like how you go somewhere in the area it is having an earthquake or a tornado in a give you an alert on your phone if you are in that area I’m so confused because it don’t matter what kind of phone you have you always get that alert so to say that they could’ve easily gave out that alert in Korea about staying away from that alleyway and the surrounding areas for people to stay inside of the bars in stores until I can get everything situated. cause I’m pretty sure they had the same thing. It’s just that same name as we use in America

They normally give descriptions of suspects and the children so surrounding people can call in and help in rescuing the child. You also get alerts on dangerous weather and other things they're saying an alert should have been sent out to all people no matter the make and model of their phone to inform them of the danger.

Love looks like how Jesus laid down His Life for those He loved. No greater love than one who gives their life for a friend. Biblical verses those were, but I can not remember the book, chapter, and paragraph. Yet, placing into action, the action becomes a habit. Habit becomes innate nature.
The same with life. To learn how good something is, God allows relativity. God is good. Hopefully, people will know from now on not to allow such things to happen again.
Besides, I am sure there are safer activities people can do on such a dark day (Oct. 31st).
