I could see then gleam in her eye; she was really just biding her time until she could make the right opportunity come along. And through the whole time, it makes me so happy that she never once turned her back on her gay fans; we knew here TV shows were just the tiniest suggestion of what was waiting underneath to be turned loose on the world. I knew it then; her first album without any influence from Sonny Bono was 1975's STARS - and she jumped light years ahead of anything prior. The whole album is on you tube- give it a listen ASAP . And here we are now - Starring in her 2ND film with MERYL STREEP!! How many of us can even THINK of saying "My 2nd film with Meryl Streep" God bless them both.

Thought id hate it but........I loved it and this song.........this was the song I liked the most. The lead into it, with Andy Garcia screaming "RUBY!!!!!" Was hilarious. Absolute Gold.

I hope (and suspect) we have many more years of Cher to treasure. She does a magnificent job on this song. I'd give the world to meet her and thank her for being such a fervent supporter of LGBTG rights, but I'm disabled now after a spinal injury, and unable to make the trip to see her perform. i was watching the film today and... i was in shock over this song. i mean, i knew how great cher is but... i didn't expect to get emotionally moved by the song and how she sang it. it was as if she didn't phone it in but also didn't need to put a lot of effort. it just sounded natural and heavenly. the scene actually made me tear up. i love abba's version and even though cher didn't do much to change the song. she sang it as if it was her own song. for everyone that claims to be a singer right now... they need to go to school because cher just blew them away with just one vocal note.
