I'm just trying to find various ways to say this video is about the next, new Smash game in the series, and the future of Smash. Is the Switch Pro still happening? @@FernandoNoki I hope so too but I still think it would suck to have a smaller roster. Obviously there are some characters that wouldn't make a big difference. Personally, I wouldn't HATE losing, Lucina, Rosalina, Lucario Chrom, and obviously all the characters like Daisy and Richter (or Simon cuz Richter is cooler) who don't have any differences could be taken out without changing much of anything.
For the dedicated-story route, as I've also thought of it years back, they'd have to stick to first-party & close partners that actually trust them
There'd have to be too much back-and-forth with certain third-party publishers & developers that want their IP represented in a certain light. It'd be too much of a workload

No. What we need is a literal MetroidVania. A one single gigantic stage like the Great Maze with triggers that requires the ability of all the characters in the game, who have to be freed first. Also, enviroments and enemies taken from the original games, like in Melee's Adventure Mode.

Nice ideas guys. I would love to see more variations of gameplay with Smash Bros. Kart Racing, Party Mode, 1st or 3rd person shooter, etc. It would be fresh and exciting to see a game I grew up with do something completely new and out of the ordinary for them.
Idea: Make Super Smash Bros 6 a game that exclusively is about video game villains, that would fix that complaint of lack of villains on the roster
Like have a villain for every hero? That’d be difficult for the Pokémon characters.

To be honest; I would absolutely love for them to just keep porting SSBU and just keep adding more and more characters but I feel the big problem with this is the 3rd party reps.
Yes they were able to get permission for this game but who's to say they will be able to do it in the next one? All it would take is one 3rd party rep to be denied and literally the entire plan is ruined.

They won’t decline for money. The game will sell incredibly well and they’ll be happy.
I feel like people are kinda makkng a bigger deal out of that than it actually is . Square and Nintendo are on really good terms again. Bandainamco is practically their buisness partner. Atlus JUST allwoed mainline persona to be on switch. Sega’s good with them and so is Capcom. Honestly the only one I can see being a problem is Konami and we all know why that woulf be.

I honestly don’t think a new Smash would come soon it’d be hard to top an Ultimate theme where almost everyone’s here (still waiting on a few characters) while the adventure mode was a huge letdown in comparison to Subspace Emissary there’s still a lot of great things about this specific game and based on how the franchise seems to go there’d have to be an entirely new console and I’m pretty sure another SSB is not on Nintendo’s list of priorities

the ultimate, most impossible path, something i want in smash bros: multi platform smash game, which removes characters like ice climbers for a much smaller roster (i’m talking maybe even just melee size), in service for more 3rd parties and villains in the replacement. actually good story with voice acting, character interactions, characters arcs etc etc, where you travel through 2D segments like subspace except there is a huge, huge focus on bosses. also random encounters on the world map. by far the biggest part is that this smash bros is canon for every series involved.

this is a complete pipe dream, and probably makes like 0 business sense to do, but what if the next smash bros fully embraced the non-nintendo part and make a cross-platform game, that has the same amount of playstation, xbox, and pc game representation as nintendo. i think it would be super rad, even if it's least likely thing ever. I love nintendo, but i also grew up on xbox and playstation, and have come to love those company's franchises too. And what if depending on what console you get the game on depends on which characters and stages you start with? i think they also should probably redo like all of the movesets for the existing characters too, mario has evolved past just punches and kicks now, and i think he needs a more fitting moveset, same with link and kirby and whatever.
So basically just make it a all platforms game? I like it though sadly it won’t happen :(
This is why I think they should bring back the custom movesets from Smash 4.

I do think Nintendo is going to want to continue smash though Sakurai might decide to finally be done. I think there is still things they can do to make the next one even better one of which being the return of a story mode. World of light is cool and I’ll gladly take it over whatever the hell smash tour was supposed to be, but I loved subspsce because I got to see these charachters actually interact with each other.

I really think there should just be a hyper focus on ambitious fun modes rather than bringing everyone back. No port, just sort of traditional game that brings insanely NEW things to base game

How about a game called Nintendo Adventures which would be 5 to 8 franchises with their protagonists going on a 3D or 2D platformer game with a little bit of enchanted combat and puzzle solving involved. With Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, Kirby, Splatoon, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing and Metroid all getting represented while including Easter eggs for other Nintendo IPs
As long as they wouldn't treat the game like an after thought and actually put a good amount of focus and effort into it, I think a game like this could be super cool!

I completely agree with the FPS idea. I myself have been thinking about how some characters would work better in that field, but also I personally prefer the genre over fighting games
I wish they use more actual Nintendo characters from the older games like it'd be nice if they include air throw give Mario a new move set give every character new move set
We could probably expect super smash bros 6 to be released around 2028-2030 and they need a new creator for smash becuase Sakura I won’t work on smash any more becuase of all the work he did with smash ultimate

It's been so long I've missed you guys 😢
For the next smash what I would expect would probably be more streamlined for competitive gameplay. Better online, more "quality" vs quantity characters, and more simple stages. I don't like this but I feel like I'm a minority among the Smash community.
What I would want from Smash is kind of like Ultimate but more focus on variety. I Iove Miis, stage builder, and boss battles just as much as I like to battle friends in tournaments. I have no desire to be a competitive Smash player and I rather have fun than worry about L-cancels, short hops, and such.
I also wouldn't mind seeing Smash spin off games. Maybe not a FPS but a Smash Kart game, or Smash sports. We kind of see this in Mario Kart 8 with Link, Inkling, and Animal Crossing as crossovers. I could see a lot of cool track being made.
You have a very competitive view when it comes to smash as your asking for more simple stages for more competitive options, better online and such, why care about all that when you could just play the game and enjoy the game
Also don’t say a super smash kart is a good idea. Trust me that idea would backfire really quick. Nintendo would be ruining Mario Karts legacy if they were to do something brain dead like a super smash kart. They were ballsy enough just putting link in deluxe
@@stevenmcburney8167 Clearly you do not understand. What I expect is different than what I want. I expect a more competitive Smash even though I want more variety and casual fun with Smash.
As for the Smash Kart. You do know not only do they have Link but they have Villager, Isabelle, and Inkling (Something I mention in the op). Not to mention the Blue Falcon is a Kart too. And in the past they've had ROB as well in Mario Kart DS. So yeah it is possible they're running out of ideas for Mario Kart and could possibly expand it beyond the Mario universe.

@Talkative Yellow Toad I'm not talking about replacing Smash but replacing Mario Kart. It would greatly expand the possibilities to the racing title. Efforts that have already been implemented in the latest edition of Mario Kart.

My idea for the next Smash game is:
-Update the graphics AKA completely new game
-Bring back every character from previous Smash games including Ultimate
-Add some newcomers that could be unique and fun to play as (such as Sol Badguy and Neptune from Hyperdimension Neptunia)
I mean that’s going to be hard as they need to ask permission again to let their characters be used again

Anyway, starting from scratch would be a good idea, for me! So many characters are still there but they're not relevant anymore! (Bye Sheik, Captain Falcon, Young Link and most of the FE roster) However, there should be a part that is more about "history of Nintendo video games" and another who is "recent characters". For example, Link from BotW is the most recent Link but Toon Link is the representation of the series, mostly the 2D part, with 7 games (if I counted all of them)

I would love a 3D ( where you can move in all directions) smash bros game with character customisation ( similar to Xenoverse or Jump Force )

I’d rather them just do an ultimate deluxe with like 5-10 new characters and dlc. But not much else will change. Because I like spirits I like having a giant roster. And if they cut anyone it won’t sell as well.
Idea: Smash Ultimate, but
- give all the Echo Fighters new movesets that set them apart from the characters they're echoing and make them more unique
- make all the Final Smashes unique and interesting instead of all just being flashy yet boring cutscenes
- add Waluigi
- add Subspace Emissary 2
- fricking treat Metroid better (that's mainly just a jab at Nintendo in general though)
Basically, make Smash Ultimate actually live up to the name "Ultimate", which is what we should've gotten the first time around

Yeah i went through all of them and turned off some and left one ones that i watch like u guys. Great video btw, can’t wait to see what comes up for smash (characters, etc) but it’s sad that i can’t get back into it. It was one of my favourite childhood games, i started at a young age but never got super good at it. I was kind of just a casual gamer in that one.

You still gain points by killing enemies like in an RPG but instead of acquiring new abilities you acquire new characters, so you can unlock new paths with their ability and advance in the story.
Also: the mini bosses become ATs in the other modes, but they appear in online multiplayer matches only if both players have beaten them first in the story mode.

I think they should go back to Nintendo characters only so there will be more room for 1st party fan favorites such as Waluigi, Kamek, Isaac, Bandana Waddle Dee, Takamaru, and most of all more Zelda reps.

I think what Super Smash Bros. needs next, besides a (...n even) better online (Ultimate's one is still a lot better than the previous one), is an Event Mode creator.
Sakurai needs a rest so it would be nice if next time the special matches are created by the players themself. This would save him* a lot of work and I think Super Smash Bros. players are mature enough to build nice a creative events.
Of course there would be some clusterfuck events too, but I think the majority of them would be good enough to compensate the rotten ones.
The route I’d take is a crossover. Cut down/refine the Nintendo half of the roster, but have the other half be CAPCOM, SEGA, Namco, Shonen Jump, Disney, Nickelodeon, whoever. Or even play into the third party hype fully and have it divided four ways for Project Super Smash Brothers X Zone or even do Super Smash Brothers: Nintendo VS the World, and half the other half be whichever video game companies they can all get in. Either that or a spin-off RPG in an expanded version of the Mario & Luigi style. I guess just do a spin-off for now because a port sounds boring as Hell.
