  • This is a hodgepodge of previously publicly released interviews from the last decade, compiled together by Reid Clow, about the band Sublime from Long Beach, CA. Sublime's lead singer, Bradley James Nowell, tragically passed away of a heroin overdose on May 25, 1996. This is a short film about his legacy. (Reid on IG :: / swearjar )
    Words from:
"Papa" Jim Nowell - Bradley's Father
"Ras MG" Marshall Goodman - drums, turntables & production
Opie Ortiz - tattoos & album artist
    Miles Doughty - Slightly Stoopid
    Kyle MacDonald - Slightly Stoopid
    Jon Phillips - A&R / Manager
    Jakob Nowell - Bradley's son
Miguel Happoldt - founder of Skunk Records
    Todd Forman - Saxophone
    Fletcher Dragge - Pennywise
Thank you for the interviews: OC Weekly, OC Register, Darren Rose Music Network, DOPE Magazine, ReggaeTV USA, Skunk Records, Perro Bravo, California Roots, BeaconAudio, Guerrilla Union, Noisey/VICE
I do not own any of this content. I edited this documentary together for educational purposes only, and not for profit out of content that was all previously publicly available on the internet. I did not record any of these interviews.

I remember walking down an alley in LB and hearing this bitchin music. I sat down against the garage door and listened. WOW! I was blown away. I guess i leaned too hard on the door and it made some noise. Eric came out and asked what i was doing. When i told him, he invited me in. Of course i went. They all said hi, passed around a joint and a bong. I was so toasted. I still listen to Sublime. My most favorite. I still cry sometimes when i listen to them. The GREATEST.

4:57 - Still got my cassette copy of "40oz. To Freedom" which includes 'Get Out!' and 'Rawhide'. I'm not certain about 'Rawhide' but 'Get Out!' was definitely ommited from later issues for some reason.🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I always notice this cuz it's my favorite SUBLIME song. Partially cuz it reminds me of the debauchery that occurred in my LB studio apartment that my homey and I had resided for a couple years. Probably the best 2 years of my life. Much love for my boy, Ge-off.🤘🤘
