He's lost his memory, but not his skill: After a fierce battle with a local triad gang, Hoi (Gordon Liu)is thrown over an embankment and left for dead. This movie is the I’ve ever seen,I’m a movie lover, I’m not going to the movies theater but at home I can see everything,
Grew up in the 70s and 80s watching Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and Gordon Liu. Those guys were THE GUYS in martial arts cinema at the time. Gordon Liu usually played a monk from Shaolin avenging something or another. His masterpiece will always be "The 36 Chamber of Shaolin" facing the grueling task of learning Shaolin kung fu to avenge the death of his family from the Manchu government. One of the best revenge martial arts movie ever. Gordon Liu badass if there ever was one.

36 Chambers were one of gordon liu best movies ever. tho I like all his movies. He's good all around. Even got one of the guys that played as one of the evil manchu leaders from the 36 Chambers.

Gordon Liu is such a badass. I love watching his movies. I don't like him as a bad guy though because he is so awesome and I want to see him doing good 👍.
western films killed his career, hk started to do more action shooting stuff and he had to resort to shitty bad guy roles, and even when he did fighting stuff athe 90s jet li became the star and he had to take crap roles even bad guy roles

I find it interesting that all of the musical pieces throughout this movie are American tunes from the American Civil War era of the 19th century.
Yes they usually have some stuff that will make you scratch your head but nobody can match the Chinese when it come to fight choreography it's not even close

1st 19 minutes of movie is about Sho Shan (Wong Yu). Then Hoi (Gordon) shows up and the DESCRIPTION enters the picture. Great casino fight next. Master Wang (Kong Do) controls the town which Hoi & Sho disrupt those activities. Many famous faces: Hoi's mother is (Ou Yang Sha Fei). Fake governor is (Lee Wan Chung). Admiral asst is (Lau Kar Wing). 1 hour mark is a showcase fight with (Lau Kar Wing). After that is it all fighting galore ! Other faces to try and spot are Mars, Meng Hoi, Peter Chan, Chin Yuet & Fung King Man (usually casino manager). Raving commenters for Gordon Liu (especially with hair this time).
