Lower Manhattan with the Leica M246 Monochrom

I went out for a few photo walks around Lower Manhattan with my Leica M246 Monochrom and compiled the images in this video. All of the images were created with the 28mm f2.8 Elmarit or the 50mm f2 Summicron.

Hi, I have Q2 Mono for over a year now, and never used a rangefinder. Now I have nice offer for 246 and wonder about two body combo 28 on Q2 and 50 on 246. As I see your choice is sumicron. I think photos are awesome. Is monochrom video also recorded with 246 and is it hard to focus over screen? My main work would be more portraits then street. Anyway nice videos, I just find your YT and you have my sub. Keep doing a great work!!

Thanks for the kind words. The video was recorded with the LUMIX S5 actually. I rarely use the screen on the M246. It’s pretty slow and has some jello effects. I tend to zone focus with the system instead. I’ve been using the rangefinder almost daily for five years now, so it’s become second nature at this point as well. I actually prefer the rangefinder over using focus peaking or even autofocus now. I actually use my M bodies for a lot of portraits. There are a few videos on my channel of portrait sessions with an M.
