This amazing composition is what I heard on WBCN Boston in 1971 (it had just been released on his "Venus in Cancer" album) which first caused me to investigate this most unusual, talented, and still under-appreciated artist. His synthesis of folk and classical techniques and Indian/Japanese idioms has never been repeated. He was a giant, yet is still "on the brink of not being there", as someone noted here a year ago.
Crazy that the only video of this guy is somewhere in a credits reel of a television show. Like even this, is on the brink of not being there
the veil of obscurity that the mystic wears
Theres another video "Cathedrals et fleur de lis" that has no credits, he played two tunes in this show. But yes I get your point.

Waves cover the rock
then they reveal it
As the pines
are battered and twisted
such is love
BASHO
This video saved my life
Open C minor if anyone is wondering... 'The Grail Chord' as Robbie apparently called it.
Godspeed you cosmic orphan
🙂❤️Love the music of Robbie Basho....
PS
All the hay that he buys is already bailed. It’s in a stack, and they just buy the stack. 🙃
Happy New Year
My past, old dreams and memories
I hope you'll be happy, Moonchild.

I’ll get you for this one, Walt Bjerke!
Truly amazing to see a live video of his playing! Anyone have any ideas on what guitar he's using here?
His 6 string is a Weymann from the 20s or 30s
I wonder if the kanji for "kowaka" is 小和歌 or 古和歌.
