Wow the modularity is really cool ...
Love the interlocking buildings. Great video and great job 4Ground.
This is seriously cool. You could do a great dense city table with this!
That's the plan mate
Very piece of terrain and I will be definitely getting some in the future. The modularity is what sold me on them.
XD When Mel gets so excited about what he's saying and runs out of breath!
what a great idea and concept. I model in 1:20.3 but we don't have any laser cutters doing anything even resembling this!
They look great, not seen these before....The scope & potential for ideas & detailing are excellent, nice one!
Looking forward to seeing what i can do with them
I really like the ability to join all the different ruins together in all those different ways.
Wow these look great Mel! Love the way they all fit together!
I've watched this video like 7 times waiting for my kits to come in :D Love the enthusiasm in your channel.
Love how they fit together
At first it seemed rather ordinary, but then you fit them all together and that's when it became impressive. Definitely the strongest aspect of these pieces.
Im glad to see more videos on the channel
Plenty more to come mate
Those kits, looks sooo nice!! Love the thickness on the edges!
Those look amazing! I'm seriously considering getting some.
That modular basing option is very clever.
The decorative corners are called "quoins." Great video as always.
Thanks!
Great looking kits.
I believe the corner stones on the buildings are called quoins/quoining.
You are correct.
Thank you!
These are really amazing! Now I want a Lasercutter for myself to build stuff like this in 1:72nd scale.
The modularity is a real nice feature though (at least the way it is done here) there is one downside to it: The Edges can't be textured to resemble brickwork or anything like that. All you can do to keep the modularity functional is painting the edges in a thin coat so that everything still fits together nice and smooth.
It can't be that hard do make the modular edges in a brick-work-style instead of unnatural smooth curves. It would look much more realistic like that.
Other than that - I like where this is going ^^
These are amazing!
I want them all. Better start saving.
Edit: But if you glue the large piece together you cant put models into the little rooms! :(
I wouldn’t glie it either
What scale do u think they are?
The Military Model channel 15mm or 28mm (not heroic) of course. What scale did you think they were?
Card fascias would allow them to print the outer cladding, saving the builder a job, Iuse home-made printed wrappers on scratch builds and they work for me
6:57 - 8:00 wow, mind blown! in all seriousness tho thats very clever! might convince me to buy some lol
I liked that bit too!
Very cool.. I am just starting to look at this type of thing.. I started looking at foam and working with it.. I must admit I am finding it a little overwhelming.. lol But I do have some paints and styofoam and a couple cutting tools and I have made a couple of small things but I think the MDF kits will have to wait... Just starting to looklol Cool video though and I do like them for sure.... Thanks for sharing.. :)
Brilliant kit! 😸👍
neat stuff a look in to as we will seee
Nice review thanks.
R.I.P. 4Ground :(
Nice kits
I was a bit meh... until I saw the interlocking design. That’s pretty darn neat!
Hey Mel, did you ever tart these up? If so can you post the video? Keen to see how you weathered, detailed and and added rubble etc
DOPE ESE VATO
Terrain Tutor, what spray paint would you recommend if I want to spray the white interior gray, Thank You?
Those are some nice buildings. This isn't terrain related per say but would it be possible to do a video on the carrying bags with the foam trays for the miniatures we use, mainly 28mm bolt action sized. I've been looking into buying a bag and can only find like 3 companies that make wargaming carrying bags and they are pricey and was just wondering if there are other companies out there and if there are cheaper ones.
I only know of a couple of companies mate, KR are my favourite
thanks for the info there stuff looks great on there site but is very confusing on there sizing and trays and what not
That stuff looks amazing. Just ordered 2 of each kit available on their website :). Does anybody know when the big buildings will be released?
Sorry mate, guessing it'll be before salute
Just another reason to go to the salute again :)
Mel is your studio part of your home? I thought you were somewhere else. loving these new styled kits.
No but there's times when I feel like I live there lol
could I use these in a 1/35 tiger tank diorama? would it be very noticeable?
yes mate
@@TheTerrainTutor thanks Bud!
Hi Mel, great fan of the channel thanks for all the really helpful tips! I'm starting work on a wargaming table for 1/72/20mm and accidentally bought some 28mm houses from 4Ground, their 28mm range is far more expansive unfortunately. How bad do you reckon the scale difference is? I've assembled one and it doesn't seem too bad, and once the figures are based etc it shouldn't look too disproportionate no?
It should be fine, only the doors are to scale ;-)
i like it , u used a foamboard? i try it!
Nice kits but I'm confused. I build 35th scale tanks and 32nd scale aircraft. A 35th scale person stands about 48-52mm high. which is about right. I'm 1.88meters tall, that works out to 53mm. So... how do they figure these are 28mm? The doors look to be about 2.5-3.0 inches in height which is large for even 32nd scale. Love the buildings they make, give me lots of ideas for dioramas but the seem way out of scale for what I want to use them for.
Are you going to do some more smoke damage, like on the zombie layout?
Those interlocking bases are really neat.
Haven't decided yet mate
Nice
What MDF cutter you used?
75K good job
Cheers
Or the 4 storey building is in 2 parts so you can move your figures round on the bottom floor without squishing your fingers through the doors and windows..
Then why not apply the same functionality to the smaller pieces?
Do the smaller pieces have rooms with 4 walls? Thought review was great btw :)
So easy to make yourself
So i could use the for bolt action buildings?
Can you use theese buildings for 1/35 scale?!
corner stones are call quions...
works by 1/35 figures?
if they shrink these down to 15mm i may pick them up
I imagine they will, they've done it with the other world at war kits
They did
1/72 scale???
1/56 mate
Too bad they are not available in 20mm.
hhm I thinking fallout wastland warfear :-)
Is that 1-35 scale
1:56 mate
Can we please please please do a Stalingrad build together?
That's what I'm planning on doing mate, you're welcome to follow along
TheTerrainTutor awesome I’ve been working on building my own currently and would love to see your tips and tricks
What is the scale?
Valter Omerović 28mm
roughly 1:56?
they quine brick
Really useful buildings let down by poor colouring. Plain floors and walls :(
Plain is actually good...Gives you a good starting point for your paint/weathering. Because no self respecting terrain owner is going to let un painted stuff on their table.
"What do yoiu mean with "It doesn't have a three windows kit" ?!!...DAMN YOU, 4GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUNDS!!!!" :V
