When I was 21, Rodney shook my hand at Caesar's Palace because I wouldn't stop screaming in the audience... It was my first time at a comedy show... So greatful he did that!... He was the King! ❤😂🎉🐐
SO much fun to watch ! I have fond memories of not only watching Ed's show every Sunday night with my family growing up in the 60s & especially enjoyed the late great Rodney Dangerfield ! Thanks so much for uploading this bodacious "blast from the past" !! :-)
Amazing man who was just getting started way back then. Sullivan had only the best america had to offer back then. Today not much worth the cheap price of an emission. miss the 60s, we had it all the best rock, movies and a young man ready to take us to a new level of laughter who called himself "Rodney Dangerfield?" RIP!
He fired three warning shots into the guy he was warning For some reason that joke still works today hahaha hahaha hahaha hahaha that's more of a comment really
I was pulling into my driveway and my wife standing in the middle of the driveway, I bumped into her, she said why didn't you drive around me, I said I didn't have enough gas.
I'm guessing that Rodney D couldn't do the sex jokes on this family show, so he does jokes about his wife's cooking instead. Not as funny because less shocking, but he did well with safer material that suited the format.

Rodney was like a bridge between the past and the future; Timeless, yet always timely.
It's amazing to watch Rodney hone his skills, his timing got better and better.
I was going to say the same thing. When I watch him on Carson in the '70's and' 80's, he's rapid fire, one right after the other, with good fills.
An endless stream of classic comedy flowed from that much respected mind.

It's great to see and watch And listen to Rodney Dangerfield even thought they are reruns
I remember seeing this peformance when it was first broadcasted. Rodney is the best comedian ever.
you can see how much better he's gotten on every level... starting from here. good stuff
Rodney will always be remembered, he brought a lot of joy into my life, he is greatly missed!
Highlight of my day!
Laughing is great for your health 😘
Amen to that!
Saw Rodney Live on Stage - he is really missed and thank God for the Videos you have uploaded - they bring back so many laughs and great times
Well, he has our respect!!!
Never saw this one; thanks for the upload =)
That crow joke.. excellent
Its quite apparent Ed was a big Rodney supporter.

I'm going to steal that line!
60's movies are all like "Elvis Goes to the Beach" and "The Swamp Creature Returns" made for teenagers to make out to at the drive in
It comes and goes Paul, it comes and goes
Very well said Paul
Thanks for these clips
Legend!
You can tell that Rodney's "no respect" routine was still a work in progress here. His timing would improve significantly in later years.
Ed Sullivan the all time weirdest guy!! He didn’t look real. His wax museum statue looks more lifelike.
That's not a wax statue it's Sullivan preserved in formaldehyde
He fired three warning shots into the guy he was warning
For some reason that joke still works today hahaha hahaha hahaha hahaha that's more of a comment really
I was brought by a crow, I still have the feather to prove it.
Goes to show ya, you can be funny without swearing.
The fuck ya say..
When the video started I was like l, “When did Richard Nixon have a show?!”
What a guy..What a guy...
So great, so great! Had to just subscribe, I did! They'll never b another Rodney. M

Don Rickles said Ed Sullivan passed away but no one told Ed about it.
Awesome.
Watch his later routine. Through the years you can see his improvement.
Great clip,Rodney on top of his game,Sullivan sure was a strange looking man.
And his voice too!
Nervous Rodney..Then bout 2 min loosened up...So Great
I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when he told that Halloween joke!
Ed can't contain himself
Funny stuff
He looks a bit nervous and a bit off... He gets better in the 70s
1969--cop fired three warning shots into the guy he was warning---still true in 2019!
it was a joke back then - it sure as hell ain't now...........
Wow, the early years when nobody realized the talent before their eyes and ears.
In other words, a crappy crowd.
The jokes in this routine are superb but, this audience doesn't quite realize it because he wasn't a star at this point.
Ed Sullian. Mr Plastic before plastic surgery became mainstream.
1:12 😂
Audience are a bit unsure lol
Some of these comments are as funny as Rodney's jokes.
No one uses Daffy, Daffy Duck and Daffy from the beach

Half Buddha.Half Beyonce of laughter.
