Khorne shouldn't have 1 Million Objects.

- In this video, I checked out Khorne in the level editor to see why it has 1,000,000 (1 Million) objects, the highest number of objects in any level. Turns out there's a lot of clutter and optimisation that could be done to lower the object count and make it more playable!

This level was made with the sole intention of having a million objects, Zimnior did an analysis years ago and said that realistically 40% of the objects have no reason to exist

honestly, I don't understand how it was even possible to create a level like Khorne. I can tell you from experience that working on a 100k+ object level is painful af. every time you save you are basically gambling if you are gonna lose all your progress or not

at first i thought that the creator was just a lazy perosn who copypasted a lot and a lot of objects just to get 1 million but in reality
i feel like most objects are well placed
yeah some of them are off screen and also made of a lot of objects but i can definitely see the effort put into it
I was in the creator's streams Hota1991 some years ago and i can tell that he wasn't just copypasting objects, he tried to make every corner the most varied possible and taking his time to decorate the structures, his streams were so entertaining 😢

@@ideac. I think it taked more than 1 year (or so) and a bunch of streams to finish the level, considering that he needed to have inspiration for every part and built the entire layout first.

It’s important to mention that this was specifically made to hit a million objects not to be optimized or incredible design despite it turning out stunning. This creator was not trying to create an optimized experienced. Do not judge the level, and ESPECIALLY the creator for this experiment with the editor. That is my only problem with the video is that you seem to be judging the creators skill based off of this experiment.

Honestly this level is so cool and stunning, feel like actual hell. And you can tell the creator put actual effort, and he tried to make it interesting and give it a story, not just lazy copy pasting without any uniqueness or meaning.
But then again, the sole purpose of it's existence is to have 1 million object.

It’s cool to see a level with an insane amount of objects as it’s interesting.. but to actually play, it completely destroys most devices. There isn’t any point in trying to upload a 1M+ object level imo

Even if its heavily over decorated, its detail is actually necessary for 1mil objs because of how much detail and glow each block and spike has. Nor to mention the black portals lmao

This level is truly amazing. It’s stunning and most of the objects were placed very well, and not just copied over and over again. Respect to Hota for making this. I know the only goal for this level was 1million objects, but he made this incredible work instead of lazy spam design.

When a program is going frozen, press ctrl+shift+escape on your keyboard, it will open task manager, so you can actually FORCE the programm (or game) to close

Pretty interesting, this level was surprisingly better optimized than i thought it would be. Also nice wulzy podcast in the middle of the video haha
as someone whos practiced this level for like 10k attempts the optimized version at least, its actually very fun gameplay wise and it has its charm of course

Love this type of content but I'm afraid that we're running out of unoptimized levels
You should make a video just about optimisation, maybe you take an online level or your own level and try to optimise it as much as possible! I think that would be satisfying to watch and it could double up as a tutorial for new creators teaching them certain optimisation tricks

What’s weird about this level is that I’ve been able to run it on my phone and even open it in the editor because it seems to have only 168k objects, not a million.

Without the pixel objects in Khorne III, the level would have roughly 51.8k objects. Originally it had 85.8k. Just without those pixel objects, per second there would be about 2,150 objects.

If all the objects isn’t his level was used in an optimized way it would have been something better than even emerald realm but their not used optimized lol
1 million objects is just way over the limit
I personally believe levels, especially XL (rated or not rated) should have a maximum of 500,000 objects so the optimism wouldn’t be so bad.
