Monica is the literal Definition of Beautiful and could have gotten anyone nearby, Sam being able to overcome that competition is no easy feat especially from a long distance which already puts him at a huge disadvantage
and in Sam's case he had several women interested back home Monica being able to convince him to leave his whole support structure and start over in a different country is no easy feat either (even with her looks and charm expecting someone to leave literally everything behind, friends, family, country etc is a huge ask)
the tough thing about Long Distance is it usually only works if the parties either have no other options or see themselves as literal soulmates

I ran across your channel quite by chance. I was actually watching Meghan & Jack and Austin & Lexi and didn't notice the auto play had loaded up one of your videos. I got hooked over the sheer romantic and loving nature of your relationship! I rarely, if ever, comment on a UA-cam video, there has to be an extreme reason. I am 45 years old and I threw in the proverbial towel on the idea of love, marriage, happiness, and kids the day after my 39th birthday. I think watching videos like yours in some way keeps a very VERY VERY dim candle that might be in my soul somewhere burning and hopeful. You both are the living example of what I would want a relationship to be. All I can say is it is nice to see that chivalry is not dead. Also that a loving VERY romantic relationship is possible. I could probably go on and on lol I'm never at a loss for words. I'm envious of what you have and wish you all the happiness from now to eternity.

I remember following you guys a long time ago… I for some reason was into watching videos of long distance couples meeting for the first time or reuniting for the first time in a while, even though I had never even been in a relationship, let alone long distance 😂 little did I know that I was going to meet my now-husband on Christian mingle 5 years later. Now we’ve been married for over 3 years with an almost one-year-old. Long distance is no joke, but it was the best thing to ever happen to me!

That's so cute, as a person in a long distance relationship right now, it's hard not getting to see each other every day, but the time we get to spend together is so worth it, he makes me happier then I have ever been in my life, and I know we are in it for the long haul, and yeah our story is not as cute as theirs, but it gives me hope and smiles.

Once i traveled from portugal to nyc and i met a virtual friend in grand central station in NYC (like Mónica in the train station), he was one of my subscribers and go from connecticut to nyc just to know me! He and is wife are portuguese emigrants in América for 40 years, then last year he was back to portugal and i was his guide in lisbon portugal. This year they will come back to portugal to see my city Braga. This all to show that UA-cam and other social net platforms have truly amazing good things! Keep going Sam & Mónica! I met my wife through a mutual friend too and we were also living a bit long distance (not as long as you guys, but still countries and some water apart). It also had its hardships due to the distance but in the end we got together and are happy forever. Been watching this channel for some time now, found it through shorts and wanted to watch it all. BTW when Sam mentioned that he had pictures of the moment 😍and the next second they popped up, I had to stop the video and re-watch that part (several times) with breaks to see them all. Very cute. Also still have pictures from the first time we met IRL. 😍
