The intro is perfection. The dark and elegant theme played on the strings captures everything that is great about this movie.
"What's your pleasure, sir?"
"Pain and Pleasure, indivisible."
Everyone's idea of 80s horror is Synth, and those were awesome, but there were so many great orchestral scores too.
so finally i know what spider man 3's soundtrack was inspired by.. amazing
This score is a masterpiece. A truly macabre but elegant and beautiful composition. This is "The Gothic Waltz."
close 2nd to Kilar's Bram Stoker score but oddly reminiscent of a Mike Vickers-esque score.
"No tears please it a waste of good suffering!"
The music is part of what gave this movie such a magical vibe, while also being so dark & sinister ❤️🖤
"The box. You opened it. We came."
beautiful and haunting theme!
Dr Octopus. Spiderman 2
This song just screams Clive Barker. I loved Hellraiser and because of this film gave Clive Barkers other films a go.
Christopher Young also did the music for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3, The Core and A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge.
This (obviously) smokes all those 70s themes like Exorcist and Omen and so on. This truly captures the majesty and horror at the same time.
@@Metalpazallteway Not for the Cenobytes. :) They love their fates, apparently. Hard to say but for me it's like gods walking in but not nice ones. The huge part, I mean. Loud section.
@@TruthSurge I don't feel they're god's, God's are truly merciless, and they're not invaders either because in the movie Hellraiser hell on earth sequel, they didn't exactly kill everyone only a nightclub raid. They're more or less sadists, who enjoy or long human fleas Demons, but they offer a second chance (with a tragic twist). So yea they like tragedy. I feel the best production was the 2022 movie it shows how losing someone u love can scar while knowing it was your fault but the killer gave u a second chance at life, and the killer gets away with it (pinhead).
haunting, gothic, epic.
Beautiful orchestral music
Composer: Christopher Young.
“You’re Julia, right?” “Thats right. Who are you?” “I’m Frank...I’m brother Frank.” “Oh, yes!”
Perfect for an old school Call Of Cthulhu RPG ;)
Who else thinks the title "Hellraiser" should appear on the screen on 0:43 of the music?
A good soundtrack makes a film a million times better
"No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering."
Demons to some. Angel's to other's.
When I grow up, I want to be Pinhead.
No way man. I don't want ANYTHING to do with the Cenobites. You can call me a chicken shit if you want frankly I don't care because the type of 'pleasures' that they offer you are nothing that I want at all. If it isn't obvious enough, yes Hellraiser is the franchise that genuinely scares me to death
The only horror film that ever dared draw upon the powerful interaction of pleasure and pain
I'VE LITERALLY SEARCHED WHAT THIS SONG WAS FOR YEARS! Heard it in a Savant mixtape and I finally found what it was I'M SO HAPPY \o/ (yea yea I'm done alright).
I saw the movie in a theater in 1988, I was stunned and happy. Great movie, great director, but especially wonderful music; I had discovered Chris Young. Now he is my favorite composer; his music is from another dimension, really.
Thank you for sharing this marvel.
I guess you heard "Flowers in the Attic" (?); it's a masterpiece.
Love this
Absolutely brilliant!!
I love it

Majestically darkened wonder
very rhythmic and 70s. I never even heard of that movie.
absolutely amazing. takes me right back to being 8 years old, watching it on vhs round my mates house!
The perfect score for the movie! Coil's music is nice on its own, but wouldn't have fit the epic character of the movie.
Awesome movie, awesome soundtrack!
All hail the supreme cenobyte the god of darkness and chaos
LEMON $LIME
It's sure creepy! Iwould feel uncomfortable listiening to this...Alone In The Dark! 😰😣
Lights ON, no problemo! 😂
And if you want real spooky, you should listen to the original score that was supposed to accompany this film composed by Coil. Barker himself said the music they composed was too good, completely outdid his film and therefore rejected it in favor of this more easily-digested, commercial-sounding score so that it would be more accessible to audiences.
*YES*
Delicioso tema.
Very disturbing movie
Especially since i understand the story so well
If you want real gothic, i suggest listening to the score originally submitted for this film by the industrial band, Coil. It's far creepier.
shivers at 0:50
I will be playing this while playing as him on Dead By Daylight 😈😈
I will do that.
One of the best intros Ost
*”We have such sights to show you...”*
Check the soundtrack for Suspiria. Although Hellraiser beats it as a movie. the soundtrack is probably the best. Of course it's a matter of opinion....

What's your pleasure sir?
reboot is confirmed bitchezzzzzzz
Yeah, it's been in the works for years. Hasn't been any new development as of late that I'm aware of.
There is no such thing as atonal classical music. Atonality wasn't a thing in the Classical era.
I play this every time I try and solve a Rubix cube.
We have such sights to show you. Like websites that calculate how you should do it.
Now, try it w a Sudoku cube!! :P q;
Genius comment
