Das Boot is still one of the best claustrophobic movies ever made.
Actually, this movie WILL stuck with me because of this absolutely amazing scene, when the "window" opens and reveals to the heroine and viewers where she really is... beautifully staged with the music.
This movie annoyed me. Her attempt to be too informed damn near cost her, her life. An then when she discovered a solution she proceeds to use the less than 1% oxygen left to talk about planets and beaches.
I am having a hard time coping with the math of this voyage. She flew 48000 miles in approx 12 years? That would be approx 11 miles a day. And now she had to travel 14 ly in 40 years?
Well, since that’s not relevant to the plot, you can just imagine different numbers that do make sense
The Descent was a great claustrophobic one. 😳😳

Watch Buried with Ryan Reynolds.. Or 7:19, based on the 1985 Mexico City earthquake.. That one is terrifying because it’s based on a true story

I thoroughly enjoyed!. I was hooked from the first scene. I wish they didn't include that very last shot, but it is OK.
I probably liked it little more, but on the whole I agree.
I liked the ending shot, because too many times we never get closure, this was great, now knowing that she is a clone starting life on a uninhabited planet, has deep religious overtones
Marriage Story is still the best horror movie of recent vintage.
'Buried' is the film I believe you're thinking of. And yes, that was a decent film, and the end did surprise me. 'The Vanishing' (the original 1988 Dutch film) totally freaked me out, along with '127 Hours', and even 'Ex Machina' gave me the claustrophobic chills.
I'm going to check out the original The Vanishing!

Carbon Monoxide poisoning is one of the most painless ways to die, and it's technically a suffocation. But I agree with you on splat, drowning and burning.
Idk if Panic Room comes under claustrophobic territory but I'd nominate that

suffocation in a box sounds worse than drowning or suffocating in a more open area.

I don't do well with movies that take place in one room. I think it's lazy and suspense alone isn't enough to make as story good.
Yes definitely need to come up for air for this one. Rings with whats been going on in this world of a pandemic. And mark my words Britain is giving the green light in a few days. If we are wrong then it should be on our shoulders the blame must lie. Look after each other 💚
As always look forward to your reviews, this was an interesting movie, has a nice pace to it, the clever dialogue and opening scenes really disguise the twists, well crafted movie, not showing others keeps the plot a secret until the end ...8/10

But this...I cannot watch, or I would end up on Oxygen lol! the last one kinda like this that I remember was The Descent (2005) - that was enough for me! My wife is even worse than me, with severe taphophobia, so no chance of getting her to watch this, he he.
Castlevania S4 should be out by tomorrow - great anime series which I highly recommend (S2 was a bit slow though) - would enjoy your review for sure ;).
The Descent is great! One I totally have blocked from my memory because it's probably the most terrifying movie I've ever seen and it's not even a horror, is 'Sanctum' from 2011. I haven't seen any of the Castlevania series yet, but have heard really good things about it. I'll have to start bingeing.

Good review on this film. However? I believe that their already constructing these types of spaceship stations. Where ppl sign up to be part of a new clone, race to later travel to a destination new world 🌍 but whatever led these scientists to be part of this project, is because the they'd have information that the world 🌍 where in would be vanished with some type of negative defect. That leds certain ppl to be highly qualify to be part of a new world 🌍 under the new clone, system. However? The movie takes us to a futuristic journey that will soon take place here in this planet. It's so obviously that the majority of living citizens and civilians are not fully aware of what's to come in the upcoming future...but technology is advancing and will reach it's focal point where ur now able to be part of a government project. But it's sad, to say that only important ppl are qualified for this particular journey... and the first ones to travel to that system would be (Doctors and scientists. Because their are the ones that can survive in any format. Do to the fact that their mentality and physically prepare for any futuristic caos.
The most terrifying claustrophobic movie for me was 7:19. It’s a Mexican film. Based on the 85 Mx City earthquake.
I'll have to check that out! Another I forgot to mention is 'Sanctum' - the most horrifying film I've seen, and it's not a horror!
