Been subscribed a long time and just want to say your videos have only gotten better with time. Very good explanations and the non bias opinion is awesome! (Seems everyone else is sponsored or fan girling hard over these things) Keep up the good work dude!
Thanks for doing this video, Might seem random but removing the cell phone tray on my 700 didn't even cross my mind until I saw that your removed yours. It's not much storage there so we need every little bit we can get for our gators, gloves and coozies!!
I've been following u since the early days back when u tested tires like the interco sniper. I gotta say ur videos are very informative and much appreciated 👏
I have a 700 myself and it's a Breese to work on, lots of power, tons of accessories and it's never let me down. I put my atv thru hell every time I go out.
Excellent info. Bigger not always better. Getting that front spark plug out would be a video in itself. My 700XMR has always started in the mode I shut it down in.
Glad to watch and you not be so negative all the time. Stopped watching your videos a long time ago bc of how childish and negative you were on Can Ams while trying to praise Hondas. Glad maturity has happened and you aren’t always negative but very nice to watch and hear your opinion on this video. Hope this continues.
Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately I have not changed much the generation 3 Is just much better than the generation 2 and Gen 1 Can-Ams. I report the facts.
Just an interesting note. You can use the rad relocation kit for the 700 on the new 850 and 1k. I have a picture of the new XTP with the kit on it. Wish i could post the picture here. Not sure who this info is useful for but I found it interesting
Stock rear rack on the 850 is such a downgrade from the 700, not sure what they were thinking. Also 850 factory winch mount system makes me scratch my head, seems like a few of the 850 "features" were designed for "show" rather than purpose. Think the rear bumper off a 700 pro could replace the 850 rear bumper?
I saw a guy on facebook that took the 25xt 1000 a arms and shocks and put them on his 24 700 and said there was a big suspension travel difference so I would like you to make a video on it or something similar.
V-twin heating is apparently because of emissions. They make them run on the leaner side, apparently with a tune you pretty much get rid of overheating
Please, take weight measurements of the new 850. My XMR700 with full tank, rear box, an extra 10 litres' tank, 30" Maxxis Zilla on beadlock rims, 2500 winch and a huge Prolight lightbar weighs 440 kg, 108 kg - front left, 112 kg - front right, 110 and 108 kg rear left anf right side respectively.
@ It just takes a set of 4 identical cheap electric floor scales, USD 4 each. After weighting, all of them made good Christmas presents. I lifted all 4 wheels one by one and shoved scales underneath. You get weight and weight distribution for good measure)
Is the 850xmr worth the extra money??? Im a honda520 owner but just want more power, the 700 seems it will be more reliable than the vtwin.... what's your recommendation???

I really appreciate that, glad you're enjoying the content!

I agree, I needed every bit of storage space I could get in that little cubby
My dude, looks like the channel is doing well. This has to beat the old LM grind.

Thanks! Glad you're still enjoying the content!

Yeah, that front spark plug is a total pain. No one ever remembers how to get that thing out.

Great stuff. Informative and cool thanks
Glad you liked it!

I think to change the rear bumper you also have to change the piece that goes from the hitch brace up to the top of the frame
do you bother with push pins for the plastics or do you have a better solution?
The push pins work well enough for me. If I have a spot where they're coming out. I typically just put an oversized one

Let me get right on that for you LOL. I already have the xt arms. I may purchase some XT front shocks when they become available
@ ok cant wait for more videos on both your can ams
which one would you recommend
Watch the end of the video
Not excusing the ugly front winch mount. But I think the reason they went that route was for easy access to the winch if you were down in a hole stuck
V-twin heating is apparently because of emissions. They make them run on the leaner side, apparently with a tune you pretty much get rid of overheating
Yeah absolutely but there's no need for the winch to stick out 9 in

That's a big ask lol I do plan to weigh them in the configurations you see here. I have a separate video with the weights of the items I removed

Is an 850 just a detuned 1000?
Yep. I guess I'll have to make another video on this because it doesn't seem like it's widespread information yet

I think coming from a Honda 520 you will be very happy with the 700s power
