My favourite elixir at the moment. Sweet, mysterious and unique. Beast mode performance, very good projection in my case.

I tried Boss Elixir at Macy’s on Black Friday, and I also tried Le Male Elixir.
I walked out, check the discounters, and I ordered JPG’s elixir. No regret.
I got Le Male Le Parfum as well.

@@Mj-bg2uj Le Parfum is great. I like the hint of Iris, and the vanilla es great too, but I get a very weak performance.
I got them last week and wore Le Parfum twice.
Boss Bottled Elixir has been started to show up on all the review sites. It’s getting massive traction!

in Poland we have St. Nicholas' day which falls on December 6. Parents would get their kids a little something to pique their interests until Christmas. Think of it as our stocking stuffer that happens to fall on an earlier day. I tried this on skin and felt is was a nice throw back to the 1970s. But I haven't bought it yet. What I like most is they charge EDP prices and keep their bottle at 100ml for this at Shoppers.
... and it's NOT perfumed by Quentin Bisch. Which is a good thing given that I learned recently that most of my dislikes even outside the elixir game are his work.

I also am a huge fan of $40 or less colognes. I see Boss fragrances alot but never really cared to add them in my collection. One day, maybe. Right now, I'm on the mission of collecting John Varvatos colognes 😂. My favorite scent in this winter is JV XX. It just suits me so well with my appearance and personality imo. Another awesome review!!

Gerard, I have smelled Boss Bottled Elixir. It is an excellent fragrance. I was not expecting Hugo Boss to go in the direction they went in but I am happy they did. I really enjoyed watching your review of this fragrance. It is one of the best designer releases in 2023.

@@gerardgeorge Good evening, Gerard. I just tried BOSS Elixir tonight, and to my nose, it is very similar to Dior Sauvage Elixir. It's a little softer and smoother, but there is a similarity. Interesting enough. BOSS Elixir is really nice!!! I like them both, but to my nose, if you have one, you may not need the other.
I said in another comment section. "This smells like you got a yacht, with a house on the ocean!"

Sauvage Elixir is one of my favorite fragrances because of the mature vibe it emanates. I get the impression the Boss is in the same vain, so I definitely want to give this a try. Thanks for the review Gerard!

What a coincidence, I just sprayed a sample of Hugo boss bottled EDP that I picked up from Macy's. It's my first time smelling it and I really like it, but after a few minutes I swear I have this scent in my collection. What do you know, my bottle of lattafa ejazzi gold is almost a dead ringer for boss bottled EDP. I have heard that ejazzi is a clone of office for men, but never boss bottled EDP. Almost an hour later they are smelling even closer in the dry down, but ejazzi is definitely stronger than boss bottled EDP. 🤯

Got me on my heels with that Boss Bottled Elixer review G! I am ravenously curious now. I’m gonna go against the grain and say I love the Elixer/Intense/Extrait twist designers are putting out. So what if it’s a money grab. Some of these Elix-trai-tense’s are totes different from their original DNA (ie Sauvage E.) and are fantastic evolutions. Some may be just dailed up versions but what’s wrong with having that option? Having a louder version of scent profile I enjoy is an option I will gladly entertain with almost any fragrance! I bet that BBE is projecting like a laser on this 18 degree morning in Beantown!
I understand that side of it for sure Dan just from a creative perspective it feels very lazy to me. Make the scent stronger, slap elixir on there and charge more seems to be the formula that's the only thing that annoys me.
No way, bro! ... The only Elixir you need is the one that started it all ... The Francois Demachy masterpiece, Dior Sauvage Elixir.

Brother, just got sauvage elixir yesterday 😂. That has to be the elixir for me this winter. Hugo boss elixir to my nose on a testerstrip smells like one million elixir and other new frags -> the same cloying type of sweetness.
I coudn't wear 1 million elixir. Way sweeter than this to me.
I love this hugo boss one, I got this month's ago and my gf loves it the most out of all of mine. Though I do love the sauvage Elixir a lot tho
The girls like this one. Sauvage elixir is good too but it the guys like it more.
It smells really good, I was expecting more incense but off my skin it is like the Parfum except stronger. I get zero Dior Sauvage Elixer comparison. It’s a great release.
I like the direction they went with it and I agree it’s a more concentrated EDP. Fantastic stuff.
Respectfully, Le Male Elixir is not only the best Elixir release, but it's also easily the best release of 2023. BB Elixir is pretty good, for sure, but it's not a crowd pleaser. While it is not all that similar to Sauvage Elixir in terms of the overall scent, I'd say that BB Elixir is just as polarizing.
Yea I wasn't crazy about that one was let down a bit.
I smelled on strip & off skin, wasn't too enamored with it. It for sure was good but didn't blow my socks off but maybe that's a sign haha. Also the Misses just didn't like it very much & had too much wood/patchouli for her. May have to come back around to it later on & try this again. Right now the 2 of: Le Male Elixir & Victory Elixir just are my Jam.
Victory elixir is really nice and I get it. If the wife isn’t crazy about it you gotta make a decision hahaha.

I haven’t smelled Ebene Fume in awhile I’ll have to test it again. I really liked it when I did.
@@gerardgeorge I find them super close, both are amazing but I'd go with Boss cause of the performance and price. Only downside is the Boss's cap. It's so cheap and flimsy I thought I got a fake bottle! Lol

I love Gucci Guilty Elixir, and I'm not a fan of the line, but I can't stop smelling it. Only other Elixir I've liked is the Boss bottled one. Rest so far nope

It is so funny how all men love this fragrance, but women hate it. They HATE it! My friend put on two sprays and went into a gas station and the girl behind the register started coughing and gagging and had to go into the back room. Her coworker had to take over for her. I have had nothing but negative feedback from women about this fragrance. That said, I do like it a lot myself. But, I had to return it because no women like it unfortunately.
I assume you’re referring to the Dior Sauvage Elixir which has been my experience also. The Boss however, the opposite.
Dior elixir has women asking me what I’m I wearing😜They love this stuff..
I get compliments off of Dior but also broke noses with it as well. I have to be very careful on situation/occasions & application.
