SWS Vs Super Timber would make for some decent content. But, in the Bush flying realm, I'd prefer a Draco Vs SWS edition. The similarities on paper might be erased, once they're out in the "wild" 😊 This bird is right next to Draco on my Mt. Rushmore of RC planes. Until I talk the wife into moving to, or building a bigger house, I'm flying 2m planes vicariously through you and Brian P. 😊 Awesome content, Adam. Another stellar job on the soul stealer, Heidi 👍
Thanks Al! We appreciate you bro. I can already tell you...as you know in my mind Draco is an awesome scale bush plane, but flying the SWS slow is much easier. Draco will do it, but you have to be on your set up and flying game to make that happen. I'm with you though, I'm super curious how the SWS will do bush flying with better tires.
@@ModelAV8RChannel I get why manufacturers are reluctant to slap squishy tires on all of these models. There's such a high probability for softer tires to become distorted from sitting for a while or not holding up in severe temps. I've replaced wheels/tires on just about every model crammed into my hangar, though. Even the little FMS 800mm warbirds. #gearmatters ☺ 👍
You're right Al. Its also that they (they being the factories in China) already have so many of the hard tires on hand they've already paid for, and they know as mods go...tires are easy and cheap to replace for the end user if they want.
Beautiful plane and, as always, superb flying. A Timber vs Timber bush shoot out would be great. Another suggestion would be a 2m bush fly off pitting the Timber SWS against a Carbon Z cub.
That is a great looking plane. I like the TT looks better than the Super Timber.. The sleek wing just looks..... I dunno, its just better.. I really like this SWS version a lot.. Yes, you should compare the Timber lineup..
Thanks! Glad you like them. I actually don't have a 1.5 Evo. I've flown several though. Good airplanes. I personally prefer the bigger Super Timber and SWS.
Very nice to see a follow up on a beautiful flying aircraft. I presume this all was on 6S? Does it have a tow coupling? It would be perfect for that. The only only niggle I'd have is those horrible sounding tyres. Apart from the jet guys, does nobody make ball raced hubs?
Yes 6s. That is optimum power for it. No, no tow coupling, but that is a mod that could be made with some modelling. It isn't the tires making the noise really, it is the stiff gear that is attached to a balsa frame. Softer tires may make a small difference, but it will always make noise. Watch our Hangar 9 15cc Carbon Cub (Flying Cowboys) video. Soft tires...still noisy.
Adam fantastic update and flying. If I didn’t have the Valiant 10cc flying so well and now the Super T. I’d have the Big Timbo. Are the Big Draco tires softer than the SWS tires? Jeff in LA USA
I got both. I’d say the valiant is floatier and bounces less but the SWS is way more aerobatic. Super timber tires work well I’ll be trying 5” kavans soon. Like the SWS best
We have no way to do that with all the planes we review. Since true airspeed isn't a telemetry option that comes with most airplanes and it is a rarely bought addition... the vast majority of RC pilots won't have a way to tell speed on their airplane anyway, so it really doesn't matter. We do stall tests on reviews, and you can see it touch down. Eyeballing that will have to do.
@@ModelAV8RChannel I thought they made one like police use like radar gun. I was just curious on the 2m T-28. Bout ready to build the version 2. Love T-28s. Love your vids.
You're going to love the 2m T-28. I have one...hands down the best flying warbird I've ever flown. Check out this...it is a small GPS you can put in anything to test speed. www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=cl&merchant_id=953aec29-878e-4306-b620-2df85883455e&website_id=8dba204c-b65e-4b7f-95c3-89346f512d7c&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.horizonhobby.com%2Fhttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.horizonhobby.com%2Fproduct%2Fpassport-gps-speed-meter-2.0%2FDYN4403.html
With all due respect, why didn't they use the same tail wheel assembly or a similar one that they have on the Super Timber. That wire tail wheel strut is too weak to hold up for some of us
Not sure, but the SWS has a hard brace that the wire runs through that is attached to the fuse with screws...not just a wire attached to the rudder (just like a Du Bro assembly, very common). So with that in mind, with all due respect...if you're breaking that, then it could be that either you're flying out of a ridiculously rough field or your takeoff/landing skills might need improvement.
Definitely!!! That would be great to see all 3 Timbers in a Bush Flying Fly Off!!!
I only have the two, and to be honest the EVO is so much smaller I'd put it in a different class.
Oh yes it's definitely still awesome. Probably one of the best releases HH has done in quite a few years, even!
I agree Jon!
Super-precise flying, Adam... and bring on the Timber Vs Timber battle!
Thanks Gina! Great airplane.
What a great airplane Adam. Out of my price range @ $1600 AU here. Great to see your professionalism flying this again on UA-cam.👍👍👍
Thanks brother Noel! Man...stuff is expensive there!
I LOVE the bush flying videos! Make as many as you can and I’ll watch all of them!
We do too! We will, just have to find some new spots.
You really put it through it's paces. It is nice to see how she 'flows' through the maneuvers.
Thanks, yes...it is very smooth.
That was Mike Cline level of smoothness, Adam! Great flight.
Thanks very much Dan. That is quite a compliment, Mike is a great pilot.

Beautiful airplane, beautiful flying, and beautiful filming! Scott
Thanks bro! I agree...
Thank you! Enjoy the update videos a lot.
Thanks! Glad you enjoy them!
Really enjoy your video’s. Especially your set ups.
Thanks very much, glad you like them!

It is Will. Big, good looking, and flies like it looks.
Great vid & kant wait fer some more bush flying, maybe against the Maxi Draco!!
Thanks! We hope to find some good bush flying spots soon.
Great flight AV8R, it is a remarkable balsa. A comparison video would be nice to see. For a few reasons, the ST would be my pick.
AirHammer out!!
Thanks Hammer! Yep ST is a great one too!
✈️✈️✈️ I enjoyed the video and the flying! Thank you Adam ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
Awesome! Thank you!
I need more room in my hangar. This thing looks so good.
Great airplane, but yes...it's a big un.
Just got this! I have to unbox, setup, and maiden.
Enjoy! You'll love it.
Definitely want to see the super timber vs turbo SWS.
I think we can do that!
Your intro is so clean w upload as usual
Thanks!
Would love to see a comparison between the super timber 1.7m and the SWS timber 👍
We can do that...
nice flight !
Thanks!
Nice revisit my friend, for my money it's always going to be balsa over foam 🙃
I love the foam ones David, but I agree...nothing flies better than balsa.
Great video!
Thanks!
Adam I like the size of it but too big for me but I like my TTevo 7 flights on it and no issues good review keep them coming 😊
Thanks Frank! Well...you can see it easier...Lol.
Timber Evo vs. Super vs. X would be fun.
I don't have the EVO and X, and to be fair, they are so much smaller than the SWS and Super I'd put them in another class.
@@ModelAV8RChannel That's too bad. I would like to see your take on the Timber X. You still "need" an Ultrix as well. :)
Great! Thank you. Love the update videos. I did not find your review on the 1.5 Turbo Timber evo. Just curious!

I think I’d like to see a side by side of all the generations of timber compared against each other
Between the two of us we have them all probably...
@@ModelAV8RChannel well I definitely have the original the umx original the umx turbo and of course the supers but I have access to a evolution
When you do reviews would you consider measuring stall speed and touchdown speed?

what kind of "softer tire" would you choose to go to?
Either the Super Timber Tires or maybe Du Bro Big Wheels 4 1/2 in. They are so heavy though. Not sure yet, may try both.
With all due respect, why didn't they use the same tail wheel assembly or a similar one that they have on the Super Timber. That wire tail wheel strut is too weak to hold up for some of us
