Always surprised "Always Somewhere" wasn't a big hit for the band. I'm usually not into power ballads, but this one and Judas Priest's "Before The Dawn" remain two of my favorite songs of all time.
They shop for boots at the same place lol. There were a shortage of white boots in 1980 cuz the scorps bought them all in 1979 apparently. Nice seeing this older footage thank you for sharing.
Matthias Jabs , for over 40 Years most underrated Guitar Player in the World !!!! And what did he do ? He smiles , he´s the only underrated Guiter Hero who smiles on and on , a very symphatic Human being ,love him since i know him , thnx Matthias to be my Hero for over 40 Years .
I've probably posted this a million times on UA-cam, Facebook, TicToc etc...but I seen the Scorpions live at the Glasgow Apollo in 1979..I was 15 years years old and I remember watching them when they did this performance on the Old Grey Whistle Test (I had the hots for Annie Nightingale)....this performance highlighted the two different sides of the Scorpions 🦂...the masters of Ballad Rock with Always Somewhere...then the no nonsense heavy metal rockers with another piece of meat
Always somewhere, is exactly what they were. I don't think another band back in the day worked as hard or harder than the Scorpions. They didn't have it very easy being from Germany, and yet they persevered and never backed down. I was lucky to see them play live, and I'm going to see them this year. Thank you Scorpions, you are A Class Act! BillyboyRocker
Small guy big voice ,big range and WHAT a frontman! The Scorps always kick your arse live, one of the best! THANKS much for posting I never even knew they played The Old Grey Whislte Test, awesome!
Klaus Meine one of the greatest rock singers ever. Period
No autotune just talent. What a voice.

this sounds to similar to Lynard Skynards simple man which came out in 1973. Don't get me wrong. I'm old school Scorps fan
Looking at Klause from back then till now, its hard to believe that the young buck jumping around on stage is now 73yrs young!!
Matthias Jabs is such an often forgotten player - and a great white Explorer!
These vintage Scorpions live shows are quite spectacular! Please share more!!!
