I don’t ever recall seeing the previews for Clueless, I just remember going to blockbuster in 95’, I was 10, to get a movie for a sleepover. I went for Now and Then and came across Clueless. Thought it looked like a good sleepover movie and got it too. 2 of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Clueless is my all time favorite movie! 🤣
What's funny to me is I forget how many high school romcoms in the 90s were just high school retellings of classic literature!! 10 things I hate about you was The Taming of the Shrew, Clueless was Emma, and She's all that was Pygmalion (or as most people know it, My Fair Lady)... everytime I remember that I crack up.
Fun, and very embarrassing fact of my high school years, we were asked in drama club to pick a monologue (preferably an internal monologue) from a movie. they said any movie, as long as it was no older than the 90s, so I chose Clueless because it was my favorite movie. I happened to have a boyfriend named Josh. It was meant to be. I didn't even have to study the monologue. The day I was supposed to do the monologue, literally between classes (he was headed to lunch, I was headed to Drama), Josh, who knew what my monologue was, dumped me. So I had to give that entire monologue fighting tears. But I got a 98 on it 😅
That was fun. I got 6 out of 12 guesses before hearing their guesses but I had to pause the video so I wouldn't hear the other guesses first. 4 of the remaining 6 I would have gotten by the second clue if others hadn't guessed first. That Wedding Banquet one I have never even heard of....
This was amazing, histerical, and nostalgic all in one, loved it and the fact it should so many different movies to guess instead of 5 or 6 you usually guess at, you need to please make more of these. Loved everyone's reactions.
