The ecosystem allows the interaction between biotic elements (which are alive, like plants and animals) and abiotic (which have no life, such as minerals) in a habitat (eg forest). There are a great variety of ecosystems on Earth which differ either by place, as the coast or the mountains; or the size of the ecosystem, like a branch or an ocean.
