I wonder if Blue eyes might jump to the top of OCG for a bit until ALIN releases in January. I only say that as Primite Blue-Eyes is currently the 3rd most played deck in the OCG, with a decent margin between it and Maliss in 2nd. It should be an interesting OCG meta report after this list is live.
Seventh ascension exist, so they still have a good amount of starters. But one EX Ryzeal is a hard touch. 7 Ryzeal monsters that start the combo + 6 spells that search that starters. Anyway, im more fan of limiting the end board instead of consistency, so i usually hate both, TCG and OCG banlist. And Shifter deserves more ban than Abyss Dweller, stupid OCG decision.
No one really understand the mindset of Konami eastern branch. I've seen many OCG players play the TCG for a month and came away saying it was the more balanced format.
Ryzeal is not dead, 5 tachyon, 1 bonfire more the heraldic and the support ryzeal, i think that the deck is still really good. Where is Maxx c, good question and I understand that Dweller is ban, the card is not fun.
killed? no. they banned just one of the many many great rank 4 monsters. ext is a meaningful hit but not enough to kill the deck. seventh to 2 is one of those dumb ocg consistency hits. allure and gold sarc as the only maliss hits is hilarious though
Smh and yet fiendsmith is still running rampant. Hope the tcg gets a different turn out regarding the ban list when it comes but this isn’t a good indicator of what’s on the horizon. Russell will likely turn into a splash package if anything
@@Alckemyit’s already a splash package in OCG as well as TCG. Konami is shifting more towards stronger more flexible engines to compensate for the increased power level of hand traps they have been making (dominus, mulcharmy). I’d much rather decks be creative piles with synergistic engines than be 15 of the same archetypes cards and 25 hand traps.

Not so sure. They limited Maxx c like half a year now but it's just kept at two for some reason with all the other mulcharmy cards.

bonfire in ocg is limited, so now ryzeal lose 5 of their 15 starters

Not really crazy. Horus is not being used in deck that is prevalent in the meta, and sanaphond only prevents special summoning from the graveyard.
