The Fairies - It‘s gonna be alright
„It’s gonna be alright“ lautet das aktuelle Programm der Fairies. 50 Jahre „White Album“ - dieses besondere Album der Beatles würdigen die Fairies auf individuelle Weise. So wie man es seit vielen Jahren von Ihnen kennt.
1968 - Rudi Dutschke, Martin Luther King und Robert Kennedy niedergeschossen. Richard Nixon zum Präsidenten der USA gewählt. Panzer in Prag. Was für ein schreckliches Jahr!
Aber dann war alles wieder gut.
Die Beatles hatten ein neues Album herausgebracht. Das Weiße Album.
Statt Fantasie-Uniformen und Schnurrbärten trugen die Beatles nun Alltagskleidung und zeigten ihre eigenen Gesichter. „Sgt. Pepper“, das durchgestylte Konzept-Album, war gestern.
Jetzt gab es eine Wundertüte voller Kreativität und Originalität. Hart und direkt - zart und zerbrechlich.
Vom Blues bis zur Schnulze über Country, Heavy Metal, Folk und Rock’n’Roll war alles drin. Die eigentliche Botschaft des Albums lautete: authentisch bleiben und sich selbst nicht gar so ernst nehmen.
So verstehen sich auch die Fairies, die am 19. und 20. Januar, erstmals im Kulturzentrum Lagerhaus, ihr neues Programm „It‘s gonna be alright“ präsentieren und dabei die Songs des Weißen Albums in den Mittelpunkt stellen.
Nicht in pseudo-originalen Coverversionen, sondern in zeitgemäßen Interpretationen, die durch die eigenständigen Charaktere und Persönlichkeiten der Bandmitglieder geprägt sind. Damit begeistern und berühren die Fairies seit über 15 Jahren ihr Publikum in ganz Deutschland.

Hi, I'm leaving the message here hoping it'll be read by one of those Friar Park and white fairies. :)
As usual, great renditions ! I'm delighting myself with each of the recent posts.
I got to know you few years back (I just checked, that was over 7 years go !) at that event in Berlin with Klaus Voormann. I follow you since then, even if only online as I never had the chance to see you playing live again.
Apart from praising your talent, the reason I decided to contact you was to tell you about the Mons (Belgium) Beatles Day. I suppose you heard about it ? As a Frenchman it's been years that I was meant to go and I finally went last October for the first time. I'm not a fan of those Beatlefests but I really enjoyed it, great atmosphere.
Maybe that's just my own taste, but I find your sound way better than any of the band I've seen this year. The closest would be those French guys, the Chocking Smokers. Irreverent and rock (and roll). Anyway, would you be interested by contacting the team in charge of this event (facebook.com/beatlesdaymons/) ?
In any case all the best for this year 2018. I hope I'll catch you up for those 50 years of the White album. Mach' jut.
