My financial goal for 2022 is to make a budget, re-start my cash envelope system and stick with it. Because it works. When I actually save back the money for each category as I'm supposed to, it is so nice to have the cash available and ready to use. Relieves alot of stress when I stay committed. I recently decided to retire early (as of last October) and take a leap of faith that we would still be able to do all things we were used to doing. I was going to use my catch all planner to include my budget...but would not, did not work! lol so I just went ahead and I am setting up my budget planner and I love how you break down your catagories! I have been playing with the idea about using cash envelopes but have decided to go for it and try it out. I think they are the perfect idea to not overspend! I started using sinking funds in 2021. It was liberating knowing we had cash available for things. We had an issue with our tires & I wasn’t worried at all at the possibility of them saying we needed new tires due to our car maintenance fund. Luckily we didn’t need to do that though. 😊 2022 goals include refining the use of our sinking funds, paying off 3 of our debts and continue saving for a new furnace.
In 2021 I started using sinking funds and I LOVED having the money ready before I needed it! Thank you for showing me the ropes! My financial goal for 2022 is to pay off my medical bills from breaking my wrist in November. That was not something I could have foreseen and the bills were more than my emergency fund. But as long as I stay organized and diligent I will reach my goal!

Good Morning, In one of your earlier videos you talked about your word of the year....mine in "Learning". Learning about myself, learning about new things, learning more advanced things that I'm currently interested in. However the most important thing this year is learning where our money is going. We have a budget to pay the bills, but with 2 teenagers in the house it makes our Misc. spending, food and gas budget high. Some of that is due to food and gas prices rising but I want to see actuals spending and compare them to what we are doing to find waste or "overspending." I just discovered your you-tube channel and this was my first "budget" video. I look forward to seeing more. I've been kinda budgeting since 2018, but started stuffing sinking funds since 2019 which has been a life saver! I would like to get my credit score up about 50-100 (it sucks right now so anything helps and this will be my goal for my credit again in 2023). An adjacent goal is to get better at meal planning to help my budget and health, and to get my health under control. (Among other reasons, both of these categories will also help my money situation)

You’ve inspired me to use envelope style planning for Christmas and Birthdays. I’m retired with children (2), grandchildren (9) and great grandchildren (2) and friends that I celebrate with regularly. Having a monthly amount set aside for celebrating is definitely going to help and will let me know if I need more or less in the years to come. While my financial guy(s) manage the big stuff, I still need to manage the everyday stuff & while I’m not strict with a budget, I definitely need goals.

My Financial goals for 2022 is to learn and use sinking funds as well as actually saving money and paying bills better. By the time Christmas comes, I struggle to pay bills and to buy Christmas gifts. So I’m hoping to do this better

My reasoning for wanting to do a budget in 2022 years to pay off a truck that is broken my yard. And to save for a new roof and flooring. You’ve inspired me to use envelope style planning for Christmas and Birthdays. I’m retired with children (2), grandchildren (9) and great grandchildren (2) and friends that I celebrate with regularly. Having a monthly amount set aside for celebrating is definitely going to help and will let me know if I need more or less in the years to come. While my financial guy(s) manage the big stuff, I still need to manage the everyday stuff & while I’m not strict with a budget, I definitely need goals.
