2010 I walked the path of Job. My wife died of cancer, I lost my sons and then my high paying job. I never rebuked God. A nurse asked me how I could i love God after this. I said, God did not spare His Son pain suffering, and death. How can I say I am better than Your Son? A year later God restored everything.
I wish I had your faith and belief, Jerry Grimes, I thought I did at one time. God has already abandoned and rejected me, He may be the 3 Os, Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and He may be with us all the time but that does not mean He is going to help us and protect us. I believed 2 Timothy 4:18 and 2 Thessalonians 3:3 that He would protect us from Evil, but that did not happen, evil people ruined my life and God just stood by and let it happen.
Jerry Grimes, how could He restore everything, you lost your wife and sons who cannot be replaced, and you said it happened within a year's time? I just have a hard time believing what happened to Job and then he supposedly had it better than what he had before his trials and tribulations, and how long did Job's trials and tribulations actually last, I have never been able to find an accurate time table for it.
Honestly and truthfully, I would really like to hear your whole personal story on the matter and how your life, and afterwards, reflected that of JOB, and you were restored to everything to you within a year.
I was an artist and lost the use of my right hand and arm and the pain was almost intolerable. I didn't know why this happened and some said I didn't have enough faith so the pain would go away. God started giving me ideas for paintings and there were so many in my head I had to ruffley sketch them out . Then God gave me an idea for a device to hold what ever tool I needed to use a friend to it together and a friend of mine asked me to do a small thing on her wall in the house she had built, which lead to me doing 3 murals in her house, which lead to me being in a magazine and then to a gallery. I am blessed even though He didn't take away the pain, I am truly blessed. The kicker is my last name is jobe 😅

Well, most of our time here on earth the closer you seek the Lord the more our enemy becomes aware and insulted. You were expected to blame God and question His motives to a point of having lost faith and overshadow you with doubt. You refused to respond with the enemy’s ‘expectations.’

The Book of Job is not about Job... It's about GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY... Whatever happens everyday is under God's will... He protects and blesses His people, no evil can harm you unless He Himself lifts His protection... God is sovereign....
I beg to differ respectfully. The book of Job has many meanings. A few of which allows us to understand that we have an enemy, and enemy that’s ‘ruthless’ and is on the prowl. And we should be mindful as to where our ‘FEAR’ is directed and focused. It’s not Gods will to harm us nor take away from us, it’s not Gods will for us to suffer. God confirms this at the end of the book.

I've been going through alot in the past 3 years, never been this bad. God has blessed me in the past, so much so, that after a blessing I got on my knees and cried, and praised him. I feel like Job right now. The past few years have been hard mentally, and financially. I was waiting patiently for it to get better, I was so miserable I was contemplating writing my own ending. I'm trying to read the word of God to find hope, I'm praying to feel the Holy Spirit, to help me get through this.
I hope you will find some comfort and may God restore you soon. Hang in there. Jobs spirit was also broken. But remember God was so proud of him. Keep seeking God in all of this. He is all you need. I thought I needed this boy. And when he left me in my darkest need. I was sustained and had joy because God provided for me through people.
In the course of my bible studies I stumbled on this video on Job and praise be unto God that I did. It shed more light into what I am going through now. I can't say I am as righteous as Job far from it. I have been in my wilderness for almost 10 years with no income, financial stagnation and like you said I had contemplated of ending it. But God has just been pushing me through with the help of God's people that he send to me. I believe HE did this to draw me closer to HIM, praise God. Though I have not regained all my losses but I know my redeemer lives. HE is faithful and true, HE will do it again amen. So please hang in there and everything will be restored by HIM in the end. Remember Psalms 126 v1-2. It shall end in praise amen.

Well, like Job you have a issue of fearing something else rather than God. Say instead what God says about your mind, make the confession about your mind that God says about our minds in Christ. It might be true what you feel but, you walk by faith not by sight. Your confession about the mind God says you have is what’s true. God said you have the mind of Christ, and Jesus wasn’t ‘feeble minded.’ That is if you’re born again.

Nothing is better than reading the actual Bible though. I always watch these videos of people reading the Bible of doing stories from the Bible but when I actually read it, I feel Gods presence. Specific things stick out more when I’m actually reading the Bible.

There's a lot of truth on the earth, that is, things which are true and which God also agrees with. But God is particularly about the fullness of the story, what specifically He has ordained for exclusive eternal purposes, and about the nation He chose (a seemingly insignificant nation) which He has used to be the lighthouse of the world--Israel whom God has ordained as a lighthouse to beckon the weary truth seeking ships unto what specifically He has in mind. This is why the Bible is so great and why it is no different than food and drink (for those who read it in faith that it is the approved Word Of God) so that when you read it in such faith you feel God's Presence, a.k.a. God's Spirit. No other book like it

I always compare Job and my story as identical. A year ago is when God decided to do the stripping in me and it began with me losing everything, I was a very successful makeup artist at the time making so much money, had a beautiful luxury apartment, was able to live and enjoy my life ( but I was in the world living in lesbianism, fornicating, drinking, smoking, partying/clubbing, cursing and anything you can think of that wasn’t of God) I wasn’t happy I must say but I had everything I could’ve asked for at the moment, i believed in God and I put him first in everything but I didn’t know him how I know him today. last year JUNE he took everything away from me, I lost myself, my relationships, people I thought was friends, family members, and my life began to come to a halt of everything that I knew. So I went from making 10k-15k a month to $0 when I felt God was calling me to stop working completely. So now I’m out of a job by choice ( been doing makeup for 6 years no job ) and I was in the luxury apartment sitting trying to figure out how I would pay my rent and just you know be able to live and take care of my 3 year old daughter at the time. And soo as I’m not working bringing in no income God eventually made a way for me to pay my rent every month with no issue until it came to the final months when I knew eventually I would be evicted. 7 months ago in January I got a final notice on my door and I was just so confused with God because although I felt as if I was doing what he was telling me to do I still had some traits of the world I was carrying ( new aged spirituality, watching tarot cards, using crystals, smoking weed, and still having sex occasionally and drinking and etc) in September I lost my aunt who I prayed for healing and I just didn’t understand it, it led me to begin to read my Bible even more and shortly after I’d say in March I gave up all the new age things, I stop being attracted to girls, I stopped drinking/smoking and I really Got into my word like never before. So now as I’m evicted I had to come back home to a house I haven’t been in since 9th grade and all my family know is struggle nothing else, so I’ve transitioned from having my own back to the struggling environment I once knew since a child because God shifted my life around for something greater. I didn’t understand any of it, how I went from a king size bed in my Luxury apartment to sleeping in my deceased aunts day bed in my grandmas living room sharing it with my now 4 year old daughter. I said all that to say that God took everything and allowed me to see how it is to be with nothing. Which leads me to one of my favorite scriptures “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” Philippians 4:12 and I feel like that was what God was trying to teach me in that season, it was hard at first to understand but now as someone who went through all those things, giving her life to God, even when I was going through all the stripping I never cursed him, I never said I hate you, or why are you doing this, or just feeling a negative way against him. I still had faith, I still stood strong, I still believed I still am believing and holding on and just keeping my head held high. He’s an awesome God and I know that today even tho my situation/circumstances still may not be the best, I know that he will restore me some day when he’s ready, I know that he’s sees my strength, I know that he sees how the agitation has anointed me. I know how he see’s that the work he’s done in me has been a beautiful thing to witness, I know that he’s heard my prayers of wanting a new home someday and wanting a vehicle so me and my little girl won’t be without, I know that he will continue to bless my clientele and my finances and exalt me when he sees fit. And I said all this to say he’s God and his mercy endures forever and ever and if at any time anyone of you decides to give up, continue to be on fire for God , continue to rejoice and give him the praise. Faith is the evidence of things unseen, so keep believing keep trusting him. I pray every day for the circumstances I am in to change and I know that God is going to do it. He’s going to restore everything I lost, they that wait on the lord Shall renew their strength they shall mount up on wings like an eagle and soar. And that I will do ❤️❤️❤️ I pray you all find peace in knowing that no matter what it looks like, God is bigger than it all🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 amen and amen I love you all and I pray that anyone in this season of Job knows that God is a God that never fails the ones who love him ☺️ God bless you all

We that love God knows he works in mysterious ways but is unchanging! The same Jesus that went up is the same Jesus that will return for me. I admire your attempt but you failed miserably to explain why this happened to Job, why God allowed this to happen, and what is the role of Satan in all of this. First Job's sons - "the party animals" who partied 7 days a week did pay the price of their iniquity the same way as Eli's sons "they both die in the same day as a sign" of Gods intervention. 1Sam2.34 Job, similarly as Eli who "honour his sons more than God" 1Sam.2.29 instead of rebuking them for their sins, he just prayed for them Job.1.5 This very bad parenting and dishonouring God, is what allow Satan to accuse Job in front of God. With such valid accusation righteous God allow Satan access to Job and could only set the limits to Satan's access. This brings us to understanding the role of Satan in Gods plans that is "perfecting the saints" 1Ptr.1.6-7. Hbr.2.10 You also missed FORTH Job's friend Elihu Job.32 who instead of plain accusations (as the other 3 friends who "had found no way to refute Job, and yet had condemned him"Job.32.3), Elihu was able to refute Job sins and lead him to repentance. Please note that God is joining the conversation just after Elihu speech. Job.38. condemning Job and his THREE friends, and confirming what Elihu just said. I really recommend study what Elihu said because he explains logic, love and righteousness behind Gods actions towards man. Elihu presents true picture of God and true reason behind human suffering.

We go through this but God vindicates though he may not answer all the questions about why it is happening just be grateful that God chose you to suffer for him knowing that you can make it through by faith. You were chosen that's why you are going through what most people could never bare!!!
For the thing I feared most has finally come upon me. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind. To be fearful is an act of disobedience, and that is the reason God allowed Satan to persecute Job

The Lord God Almighty has a plan for us. it is to endure with honor. then to be exalted in the kingdom where he dwells. suffering is part of this galvanizing process. it is our part to endure, overcome our selfishness and to pass the test through faithfulness.

yes, i do.. lost everything, lived in a tent for months all while a blood mutation was killing me.. its grace that allowed me to go thru 105 heat,, then to the bottle water i found, freeze. I named the bugs that came around from loneliness lol.. Fast forward 18 months... i happened across someone i went to school with.. i Didn't even know her. Soon after,, days,, she talked me into going to a doctor.. i had hours to live he told me. Its been 10 years now since that evening. Ive grown my wealth 23 x. I dont care if you dont believe me! Gods plan is always in effect.
There's a hidden detail in the story of Job. God doubled all his livestock from 7000 sheep to 14,000 etc. As for his sons and daughters, Job lost 7 sons and 3 daughters. He got back 7 sons and 3 daughters. GOD DOUBLED THEM! Because they are not lost. They are with the Lord. For those of you going through a loss take comfort in the Lord.
If there's anything once should get and understand from the story of Job is.. "Don't listen to Man" me, or anyone else.. but listen to what the word of God says, the first words God would say to Job.. after 38 chapters of his friends just going off speaking foolishness, God would call it "Dark Counseling" just a bunch of foolishness, if it don't line up with the word of God.. that's what it is "dark counseling and nunsense" 🕊️👍💯
Wow... So, here is the actual point of JOB from a Christian perspective; First of all, how can Job be blameless in God's sight if we know that all have fallen short of the glory of God and no one is righteous, not even one? Well, obviously, we can presume that Job kept the law, right? But Job comes before the Mosaic law so... what then? It has to be FAITH. Much like Abraham, who's FAITH was credited to him as righteousness before the law, Job was faithful and obedient. Next; God allowed Satan to test Job because, why?... Because He, God, KNEW Job's heart, and He TRUSTED him. Think about that. God trusted His servant Job. He trusted Him so much, that He used Him to make the devil look a fool. He knew that even if Satan did his worst to Job, Job would not fail the LORD and would not curse God. Interestingly, if we consider this from the perspective of the Jewish people who would have handed this story down in oral tradition, the very word, or the name, "Job", translates as "hated". The Jews have long been a hated people, and specifically for their faith in God. So NOW, as Christians, with the Jewish people having rejected the cornerstone, the Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus; that leaves Christ's followers, Christians, in the position of being "hated" for HIS, Christ's, namesake. We are now hated for our faith, and God is trusting us not to curse or fail Him as the Devil throws everything He's got at us. God knows we, His chosen, His servants whom He now calls Friends, will choose Him over this world and conforming to its image. In addition, It is interesting to note that Job's three friends were chastised by the Lord for what essentially amounted to legalism and useless condescending, condemning "help" they offered Job. Job was counciled directly by the LORD before He was restored and redeemed. Yet, a child, a youth, a young person, Elihu, which means, "My God is He", speaks the truth to all four of the other men and basically mic-drops then walks off and if you look carefully, you will notice that Elihu is NOT corrected or called out like Job, Zophar, Eliphaz, and Bildad. So... yeah. Don't reject or ignore people because of their youth or gender etc... When the Holy Spirit speaks, listen up. The point is not that God is going to give you everything your flesh ever desired because you went through some trials. It is so much more than that. Such BS! I thought I was going to hear something that I can't read for myself. I thought this guy was going to say something about who Job was. Why didn't he say that it was son of Issachar who went down into Egypt with Jacob and the 70 - (Gen.46:37.) But he changed his name thinking it would give him covenant with the Eloah Who he got from Joseph in Egypt. Job left Egypt at the beginning of the enslavery of the children of Israel and was gone but the time they were killing the first-born males in Egypt. But Job (Yobe') was determined to sat his own covenant line with the children of the East which were half Arab and half Hebrew from Esau marrying the daughter of Ishmael just to vex his parents. This is why all Yobe' posterior and his wife were killed. He ended up marrying one of his sisters that came to see him and returned to Israel, just not Egypt. Thus he fulfilled the name change of Jashub which means he will return. Stop wasting our time
To me when Satan and God are in conference, I get the impression Satan hated Man because Man had free will and self-determination! The inference here is Satan wanted a more equitable machine-like being. Maybe Man is granting Satan's wish now?
Well, the Bible says not to give our enemy a place, an inch(Ephesians 4:27). Well, that’s what Job did, Job gave the enemy a place. Satan was already after Job((Job 1:8-10), and Job unknowingly assisted the devil to torment Job. How? Job confessed that his ‘Greatest fear’ had come upon him(Job 3:25). Apparently Jobs greatest fear was not in God, but was in his(Jobs) loses all along. Satan used Jobs ‘greatest belief’ in his loses as an Avenue, a pathway, a place, to work against Job. Satan had the ‘legal’ right to do so considering all the factors of sin in the world by way of the ‘first Adam’s’ disobedience. God had to allow it, the situation, because Job allowed it through Jobs greatest fear. We understand these principles and activities because of what God said, Gods response to Job at the end of the book of Job. God never has in His heart to hurt anybody, never did, never will. But, mankind has an enemy, the devil, Satan. And most of the time mankind misunderstands that it’s not God who wants to hurt us, but it’s the devil who brings trouble, and many times people help the enemy by what they say and believe or not believe. At the end of the book God doesn’t mention the devil, God doesn’t blame the devil like the first Adam did in blaming God because of the woman(Genesis 3:12) because its apparent who’s at fault after God exonerates Himself by what He says about creation.

I wish I had your faith and belief, Jerry Grimes, I thought I did at one time. God has already abandoned and rejected me, He may be the 3 Os, Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and He may be with us all the time but that does not mean He is going to help us and protect us. I believed 2 Timothy 4:18 and 2 Thessalonians 3:3 that He would protect us from Evil, but that did not happen, evil people ruined my life and God just stood by and let it happen.

I just have a hard time believing what happened to Job and then he supposedly had it better than what he had before his trials and tribulations, and how long did Job's trials and tribulations actually last, I have never been able to find an accurate time table for it.
Honestly and truthfully, I would really like to hear your whole personal story on the matter and how your life, and afterwards, reflected that of JOB, and you were restored to everything to you within a year.

I was an artist and lost the use of my right hand and arm and the pain was almost intolerable. I didn't know why this happened and some said I didn't have enough faith so the pain would go away. God started giving me ideas for paintings and there were so many in my head I had to ruffley sketch them out . Then God gave me an idea for a device to hold what ever tool I needed to use a friend to it together and a friend of mine asked me to do a small thing on her wall in the house she had built, which lead to me doing 3 murals in her house, which lead to me being in a magazine and then to a gallery. I am blessed even though He didn't take away the pain, I am truly blessed. The kicker is my last name is jobe 😅

The Book of Job is not about Job... It's about GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY... Whatever happens everyday is under God's will... He protects and blesses His people, no evil can harm you unless He Himself lifts His protection... God is sovereign....
I beg to differ respectfully. The book of Job has many meanings. A few of which allows us to understand that we have an enemy, and enemy that’s ‘ruthless’ and is on the prowl. And we should be mindful as to where our ‘FEAR’ is directed and focused. It’s not Gods will to harm us nor take away from us, it’s not Gods will for us to suffer. God confirms this at the end of the book.

I've been going through alot in the past 3 years, never been this bad. God has blessed me in the past, so much so, that after a blessing I got on my knees and cried, and praised him. I feel like Job right now. The past few years have been hard mentally, and financially. I was waiting patiently for it to get better, I was so miserable I was contemplating writing my own ending. I'm trying to read the word of God to find hope, I'm praying to feel the Holy Spirit, to help me get through this.
I hope you will find some comfort and may God restore you soon. Hang in there. Jobs spirit was also broken. But remember God was so proud of him. Keep seeking God in all of this. He is all you need. I thought I needed this boy. And when he left me in my darkest need. I was sustained and had joy because God provided for me through people.
In the course of my bible studies I stumbled on this video on Job and praise be unto God that I did. It shed more light into what I am going through now. I can't say I am as righteous as Job far from it. I have been in my wilderness for almost 10 years with no income, financial stagnation and like you said I had contemplated of ending it. But God has just been pushing me through with the help of God's people that he send to me. I believe HE did this to draw me closer to HIM, praise God. Though I have not regained all my losses but I know my redeemer lives. HE is faithful and true, HE will do it again amen. So please hang in there and everything will be restored by HIM in the end. Remember Psalms 126 v1-2. It shall end in praise amen.

Well, like Job you have a issue of fearing something else rather than God. Say instead what God says about your mind, make the confession about your mind that God says about our minds in Christ. It might be true what you feel but, you walk by faith not by sight. Your confession about the mind God says you have is what’s true. I always compare Job and my story as identical. A year ago is when God decided to do the stripping in me and it began with me losing everything, I was a very successful makeup artist at the time making so much money, had a beautiful luxury apartment, was able to live and enjoy my life ( but I was in the world living in lesbianism, fornicating, drinking, smoking, partying/clubbing, cursing and anything you can think of that wasn’t of God) I wasn’t happy I must say but I had everything I could’ve asked for at the moment, i believed in God and I put him first in everything but I didn’t know him how I know him today. last year JUNE he took everything away from me, I lost myself, my relationships, people I thought was friends, family members, and my life began to come to a halt of everything that I knew. So I went from making 10k-15k a month to $0 when I felt God was calling me to stop working completely. So now I’m out of a job by choice ( been doing makeup for 6 years no job ) and I was in the luxury apartment sitting trying to figure out how I would pay my rent and just you know be able to live and take care of my 3 year old daughter at the time. And soo as I’m not working bringing in no income God eventually made a way for me to pay my rent every month with no issue until it came to the final months when I knew eventually I would be evicted. 7 months ago in January I got a final notice on my door and I was just so confused with God because although I felt as if I was doing what he was telling me to do I still had some traits of the world I was carrying ( new aged spirituality, watching tarot cards, using crystals, smoking weed, and still having sex occasionally and drinking and etc) in September I lost my aunt who I prayed for healing and I just didn’t understand it, it led me to begin to read my Bible even more and shortly after I’d say in March I gave up all the new age things, I stop being attracted to girls, I stopped drinking/smoking and I really Got into my word like never before. So now as I’m evicted I had to come back home to a house I haven’t been in since 9th grade and all my family know is struggle nothing else, so I’ve transitioned from having my own back to the struggling environment I once knew since a child because God shifted my life around for something greater. I didn’t understand any of it, how I went from a king size bed in my Luxury apartment to sleeping in my deceased aunts day bed in my grandmas living room sharing it with my now 4 year old daughter. I said all that to say that God took everything and allowed me to see how it is to be with nothing. Which leads me to one of my favorite scriptures “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.”
Philippians 4:12 and I feel like that was what God was trying to teach me in that season, it was hard at first to understand but now as someone who went through all those things, giving her life to God, even when I was going through all the stripping I never cursed him, I never said I hate you, or why are you doing this, or just feeling a negative way against him. I still had faith, I still stood strong, I still believed I still am believing and holding on and just keeping my head held high. He’s an awesome God and I know that today even tho my situation/circumstances still may not be the best, I know that he will restore me some day when he’s ready, I know that he’s sees my strength, I know that he sees how the agitation has anointed me. I know how he see’s that the work he’s done in me has been a beautiful thing to witness, I know that he’s heard my prayers of wanting a new home someday and wanting a vehicle so me and my little girl won’t be without, I know that he will continue to bless my clientele and my finances and exalt me when he sees fit. And I said all this to say he’s God and his mercy endures forever and ever and if at any time anyone of you decides to give up, continue to be on fire for God , continue to rejoice and give him the praise. Faith is the evidence of things unseen, so keep believing keep trusting him. I pray every day for the circumstances I am in to change and I know that God is going to do it. He’s going to restore everything I lost, they that wait on the lord Shall renew their strength they shall mount up on wings like an eagle and soar. And that I will do ❤️❤️❤️ I pray you all find peace in knowing that no matter what it looks like, God is bigger than it all🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 amen and amen

I admire your attempt but you failed miserably to explain why this happened to Job, why God allowed this to happen, and what is the role of Satan in all of this. First Job's sons - "the party animals" who partied 7 days a week did pay the price of their iniquity the same way as Eli's sons "they both die in the same day as a sign" of Gods intervention. 1Sam2.34 Job, similarly as Eli who "honour his sons more than God" 1Sam.2.29 instead of rebuking them for their sins, he just prayed for them Job.1.5 This very bad parenting and dishonouring God, is what allow Satan to accuse Job in front of God. With such valid accusation righteous God allow Satan access to Job and could only set the limits to Satan's access. This brings us to understanding the role of Satan in Gods plans that is "perfecting the saints" 1Ptr.1.6-7. Hbr.2.10 You also missed FORTH Job's friend Elihu Job.32 who instead of plain accusations (as the other 3 friends who "had found no way to refute Job, and yet had condemned him"Job.32.3), Elihu was able to refute Job sins and lead him to repentance. Please note that God is joining the conversation just after Elihu speech. Job.38. condemning Job and his THREE friends, and confirming what Elihu just said. I really recommend study what Elihu said because he explains logic, love and righteousness behind Gods actions towards man. Elihu presents true picture of God and true reason behind human suffering.

yes, i do.. lost everything, lived in a tent for months all while a blood mutation was killing me.. its grace that allowed me to go thru 105 heat,, then to the bottle water i found, freeze. I named the bugs that came around from loneliness lol.. Fast forward 18 months... i happened across someone i went to school with.. i Didn't even know her. Soon after,, days,, she talked me into going to a doctor.. i had hours to live he told me. Its been 10 years now since that evening. Ive grown my wealth 23 x. I dont care if you dont believe me! Gods plan is always in effect.

My friends from the hood knew all about him. I can't tell you how many times I'd hear someone say "your man ain't got no J - O - B!"
There's a hidden detail in the story of Job. God doubled all his livestock from 7000 sheep to 14,000 etc. As for his sons and daughters, Job lost 7 sons and 3 daughters. He got back 7 sons and 3 daughters. GOD DOUBLED THEM! Because they are not lost. They are with the Lord. For those of you going through a loss take comfort in the Lord.
If there's anything once should get and understand from the story of Job is.. "Don't listen to Man" me, or anyone else.. but listen to what the word of God says, the first words God would say to Job.. after 38 chapters of his friends just going off speaking foolishness, God would call it "Dark Counseling" just a bunch of foolishness, if it don't line up with the word of God.. that's what it is "dark counseling and nunsense" 🕊️👍💯

Wow... So, here is the actual point of JOB from a Christian perspective;
First of all, how can Job be blameless in God's sight if we know that all have fallen short of the glory of God and no one is righteous, not even one?
Well, obviously, we can presume that Job kept the law, right? But Job comes before the Mosaic law so... what then?
It has to be FAITH. Much like Abraham, who's FAITH was credited to him as righteousness before the law, Job was faithful and obedient.
Next; God allowed Satan to test Job because, why?... Because He, God, KNEW Job's heart, and He TRUSTED him. Think about that. God trusted His servant Job. He trusted Him so much, that He used Him to make the devil look a fool. He knew that even if Satan did his worst to Job, Job would not fail the LORD and would not curse God.
Interestingly, if we consider this from the perspective of the Jewish people who would have handed this story down in oral tradition, the very word, or the name, "Job", translates as "hated". The Jews have long been a hated people, and specifically for their faith in God.
So NOW, as Christians, with the Jewish people having rejected the cornerstone, the Messiah, Yeshua, Jesus; that leaves Christ's followers, Christians, in the position of being "hated" for HIS, Christ's, namesake. We are now hated for our faith, and God is trusting us not to curse or fail Him as the Devil throws everything He's got at us. God knows we, His chosen, His servants whom He now calls Friends, will choose Him over this world and conforming to its image.
In addition, It is interesting to note that Job's three friends were chastised by the Lord for what essentially amounted to legalism and useless condescending, condemning "help" they offered Job. Job was counciled directly by the LORD before He was restored and redeemed. Yet, a child, a youth, a young person, Elihu, which means, "My God is He", speaks the truth to all four of the other men and basically mic-drops then walks off and if you look carefully, you will notice that Elihu is NOT corrected or called out like Job, Zophar, Eliphaz, and Bildad. So... yeah. Don't reject or ignore people because of their youth or gender etc... When the Holy Spirit speaks, listen up.
The point is not that God is going to give you everything your flesh ever desired because you went through some trials. It is so much more than that. I leave it to you who are blessed enough to have read this whole diatribe, to digest and consider and learn.

Such BS! I thought I was going to hear something that I can't read for myself. I thought this guy was going to say something about who Job was. Why didn't he say that it was son of Issachar who went down into Egypt with Jacob and the 70 - (Gen.46:37.) But he changed his name thinking it would give him covenant with the Eloah Who he got from Joseph in Egypt. Job left Egypt at the beginning of the enslavery of the children of Israel and was gone but the time they were killing the first-born males in Egypt.
But Job (Yobe') was determined to sat his own covenant line with the children of the East which were half Arab and half Hebrew from Esau marrying the daughter of Ishmael just to vex his parents. This is why all Yobe' posterior and his wife were killed. He ended up marrying one of his sisters that came to see him and returned to Israel, just not Egypt. Thus he fulfilled the name change of Jashub which means he will return. Stop wasting our time
To me when Satan and God are in conference, I get the impression Satan hated Man because Man had free will and self-determination! The inference here is Satan wanted a more equitable machine-like being. Maybe Man is granting Satan's wish now?

Well, the Bible says not to give our enemy a place, an inch(Ephesians 4:27). Well, that’s what Job did, Job gave the enemy a place. Satan was already after Job((Job 1:8-10), and Job unknowingly assisted the devil to torment Job. How? Job confessed that his ‘Greatest fear’ had come upon him(Job 3:25). Apparently Jobs greatest fear was not in God, but was in his(Jobs) loses all along. Satan used Jobs ‘greatest belief’ in his loses as an Avenue, a pathway, a place, to work against Job. Satan had the ‘legal’ right to do so considering all the factors of sin in the world by way of the ‘first Adam’s’ disobedience. God had to allow it, the situation, because Job allowed it through Jobs greatest fear. We understand these principles and activities because of what God said, Gods response to Job at the end of the book of Job. God never has in His heart to hurt anybody, never did, never will. But, mankind has an enemy, the devil, Satan. And most of the time mankind misunderstands that it’s not God who wants to hurt us, but it’s the devil who brings trouble, and many times people help the enemy by what they say and believe or not believe. At the end of the book God doesn’t mention the devil, God doesn’t blame the devil like the first Adam did in blaming God because of the woman(Genesis 3:12) because its apparent who’s at fault after God exonerates Himself by what He says about creation.
