People like to compare the Yakuza to the more glamorized, more 'Hollywood-esk' Mafia but I'll tell you this: The presence of the Yakuza, based only on what I have been told by people who have lived in Japan as English teachers (which is apparently the easiest job to get for a Caucasian person wanting to live in Japan) is a LOT stronger and a lot deeper than the Mafia presence in the United States. You could practically point to a branch of government and know that in someway, they have been influenced by a Yakuza presence, no matter how weak or strong. They seem to have a hand in everything. While I myself do not know the truths behind these tales, I do not see them in a glamorous light. There are just so many things I won't ever wish to poke my nose in and this is one of them. They are not the cool, suit wearing, bank robbing bad guys from those action films. Apparently the presence is so strong that hotels, especially the traditional lodgings in Kyoto, will refuse people access to their natural hot spring outdoor baths/pools if you have a tattoo because its safer then saying they forbid Yakuza, which is the real reason they don't want people with tattoo's to use their facilities. Even the travel agent made mention of this (albeit briefly mentioned)
Not worship but hell, English teaching jobs for a white person are the easiest to get! And of course they don't bother the tourists, what an international incident that would create if suddenly people started getting bashed by them of worse. Why cause problems for themselves?

#1: Happens more often than some people think. #2: That is what happens when you screw up. Not just in the Yakuza world but also other gang/mafia groups. ( Italian,Russian, ect ) #3: This one.. Well depending on who the person is depends on if he can get away with doing something like that in their own clan. Some clans do not tolerate those kinds of actions in public. Regardless of the reasons. #4: Could have been worse. Another case of someone screwing up. ( Common theme here in these stories lol. )
Wait tell me how #4 could have been worse? Do you mean like slow torture or as in could have been worse like OP being killed too? But man... He got his face beaten in with a golf club, then dragged to a warehouse to be beaten again by 2 people with a baseball bat then thrown off a bridge.
#2: Disgusting rapist gets his just desserts. and #3 was a disgusting violent misogynist murderer. Same with #4. Even more disturbing that the Yakuza see no problem with rape EXCEPT when its one of their own.
The second one was so gross. As a woman, every time I hear about rapists "persuading" (more like forcing) women to go with them to have "sex" with them just fills me with rage. The third story had me feeling the same. If it was indeed a woman turning down a man and that was his response, then that's just disgusting toxic masculinity/misogyny. So gross. The fact that Yakuza has no problem with rapists is no surprise, but its still disturbing hearing about it.

100,000 members... now I wonder if I had crossed paths with one when I was there for a week without me noticing... damn am I ever glad nothing bad happened
To be honest they are very recognisable as the culture in japan doesn't require them to act or look subtle. They give off a vibe and they are definitely recognisable....especially from their cars and clothes, they tend to like black on black everything from what i have seen and learned from people.
The Yakuza aren't all bad , they help in times of need , I've heard lots of them in real life are great people , just don't mess with their plans or members
Criminals are still human beings, and even humans who have turned to terrible crime will still generally have some sense of "doing the right thing." The world isn't just either people who walk the straight and narrow or people who break every rule in the book.
Everyone in Japan tried to help out after tragedies. Just because the Yakuza helped out people after a tragedy just like many organizations all over the world doesn’t make them any less degenerate
@@dart2475 Well because of Anime I know some of Yakuza's rule. One of them is they need to help people who's in need when something bad happened. They will only hurt the people who hurt them and if something bad happened to their friends specially if it's about one of their family members.
I've been to Japan and I went to the famous "Yakuza District", which is not dangerous, and you can tell who is in the Yakuza actually by the way they dress. However the Yakuza doesn't really do public disturbances and don't hurt civilians unless you get involved somehow.
+Braulio Esparza I agree. So many people try to narrate in a way that sounds creepy, but overdo it and sound cheesy. He has the perfect balance of simple narrating and a subtle creepy tone.
My MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) teacher lived in Japan for a year. When her father came to visit her there they had gone out for lunch and were walking back when the Yakuza van, a black van, came driving down the street. Her father took a picture of them, thank god they didn't notice!
They say in these times they've (the yakuza) started banning the practice of cutting off fingers because people could never get jobs after and other reasons
Well it's probably best you don't go to Japan anytime soon or you might be one of the unlucky people who run into Yakuza at the wrong place/wrong time.
I dunno, the last Yakuza I saw just liked to dance it up in the nightclub to some good old Miracle Johnson, or sing some harmless karaoke. They can't be THAT bad.
because they're probably not real stories. i'm sure plenty of stuff like this has actually happened in the Yakuza, but these stories are more than likely bullshit
Triads also are in china town, new york city. The triad combine forces with the flying dragons. There are flying dragon gangsters that only weigh 125 pounds and try to rob a white man that weighs 180 pound. The united states white man can take down two flying dragon gangster member at once.
2:09 Wait so he didn't want to join, was forced to join, but "thought about quitting"? How could he quit if he had no choice? And he was forced to do the job "He couldn't say no" so how could he just quit? Oh, and he could also hear a "splattering sound" over the crushing of metal? Yeah, this one's fake chief. Between the dramatic cigarette lighting and the "nervous laughing"... just fanfic.
These types of videos are far more fascinating than the supernatural ones.. I think because it’s a refreshing break from all of the horror stories. Do more of these my man Lazy!
What about the time that that one Yakuza, the “Dragon of Dojima” or something like that beat up 100 guys at once and dodged two missiles while only using like 20% of his power?
Despite being nothing but scum bags these days, at least the Mafia started out as a type of law enforcement agency for the regions of Italy in which they started. The Yakuza are just brutal thugs with absolutely no redeemable qualities whatsoever. If any organization ever deserved to be wiped off the face of the earth, it is surely them. I'm not even close to a violent person, but I wouldn't have a problem with certain Yakuza being summarily shot off into outer space and left there, all alone, with limited food and air. Dang, not only did I just scare myself a little, but it gave me an AWESOME idea for a future based story since I'm a writer! LOLing nervously...
True. The Italian mafia arose during a time when the central Italian government was very disorganized and fuzzy as to who exactly was in charge, meaning there was very little time or resources to send protection to small towns and villages, and the strongest locals had to take things into their own hands. It doesn't make what they do now right, but at least it's understandable.
Mistie Partin That's why I hate gangs. Try to do anything they don't like and you're overpowered by groups of them. If I was in this situation where I was being chased relentlessly by a gang i'd just try to take as many of them with me as possible. You're dead as soon as you mess with them.
When I was working on a cruiseship that was passing by Japan I noticed that in two harbors there was a sports car (one was a Porsche, and other one was a Corvette iirc) with a man in a suit, who just parked closeby, made a few phone calls and left after an hour or two. I'm not saying they were yakuza, but I found it rather strange that the most flamboyant cars I've seen in Japan (we were cruising the west coast, so rather rural communities) seemed to hang out in the harbors.
Hey Lazy! I love your vids. Maybe you can do these videos in the future: 1. Mob stories (Italian/Russian/Chinese Triad) 2. Khmer Rouge storirs 3. South East Asian folklore (plenty of that here. Lots of horror stories)
WELL DID THE WRITER OF THE LAST STORY CONTINUE WORKING FOR THE YAKUZA OR NOT GOD DAMMIT?! LAZY DONT LEAVE ME HANGING IM GONNA CRY, MATE. great vid I love the content
So apparently, “yakuza” translates to “the extreme path,” and it comes from the part of a card game that refers to the worst possible hand one can be dealt, according to the Wikipedia article.
Sometimes it is just hard to believe shit like this really happens in this world. That last one really fucked me up, not sure why I am so surprised when I've been on this planet to know how fucked up humanity can get. (I'm not an angel by any means). Good job Lazy on the narration, and for those that shared those horrific stories.

+jena jena well good for them , if they tried to help her, they will kill them too. sadly the cartel ,gangs and mafias like yakuza will find your ass and kill you if you snitch on them or try to stop them.
Yes , i saw one in mexico , a family got murdered because his son snitch some of the cartel drugs... his mom was killed with a sledgehammer and his father with a shotgun in the face ,they left with a sign saying "this is what happen if you snitch us " or something like that , in spanish the sign said " esto le pasa a los que ponen el dedo " i cant remember very well the name of the cartel though

100,000 members... now I wonder if I had crossed paths with one when I was there for a week without me noticing... damn am I ever glad nothing bad happened
***** excatly. I went there on a vacation for a week.
Well, if you went around Roppongi then you almost certainly did.
To be honest they are very recognisable as the culture in japan doesn't require them to act or look subtle. They give off a vibe and they are definitely recognisable....especially from their cars and clothes, they tend to like black on black everything from what i have seen and learned from people.
Rozalind Aria I have 5 of these kinds of Chanel’s I love and I often wonder this
@@RozArialind what food did u eat? Ramen? Takoyaki?
didn't the yakuza help civilians when japan had a natural disaster?
The Yakuza aren't all bad , they help in times of need , I've heard lots of them in real life are great people , just don't mess with their plans or members
Criminals are still human beings, and even humans who have turned to terrible crime will still generally have some sense of "doing the right thing." The world isn't just either people who walk the straight and narrow or people who break every rule in the book.
Serina Sanchez no FBI will win
Bro ur the best man. U r a good narratior
Thanks!
That was... Oh man, yeah, the Yakuza terrify me. *::shudder::* Great job, Lazy!
They say in these times they've (the yakuza) started banning the practice of cutting off fingers because people could never get jobs after and other reasons
That's weird, I'm 42 minutes late.
And in Japan, 42 is a heck of an unlucky number.
Well it's probably best you don't go to Japan anytime soon or you might be one of the unlucky people who run into Yakuza at the wrong place/wrong time.
Well - in the rest of the world it is the answer to Life the Universe and Everything
@@whynottalklikeapirat 42 is the answer to life in the universe? no its not.
@@kalle1453 it's a Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy reference.
@@kalle1453 I have it on VERY good authority that it is. The problem is what the question is ...
I dunno, the last Yakuza I saw just liked to dance it up in the nightclub to some good old Miracle Johnson, or sing some harmless karaoke. They can't be THAT bad.
KIRYU-CHAN
“He was buried alive...”
If no one else spoke of it, how did his friend know?
because they're probably not real stories. i'm sure plenty of stuff like this has actually happened in the Yakuza, but these stories are more than likely bullshit
From the dead of course.
Thank God you're back, I didn't know what to do without your stories
So this is a warning to always be ready for the real world. By that I mean, real dark and cruel world.
How about some Triad stories?
Triads also are in china town, new york city. The triad combine forces with the flying dragons. There are flying dragon gangsters that only weigh 125 pounds and try to rob a white man that weighs 180 pound. The united states white man can take down two flying dragon gangster member at once.
Dude, that was awesome! You are by far my favorite story teller!
I like Yakuza, but not what they are doing. It's cool to have your body covered in tatoos.
Welcome back! Glad to hear from you, and great video as usual. :)
Please do one on the Italian-American Mafia, that would be amazing.
YAY!!! You're back! I've missed your voice!
*Sees "Uploaded 46 seconds ago"* Go me!
These types of videos are far more fascinating than the supernatural ones.. I think because it’s a refreshing break from all of the horror stories. Do more of these my man Lazy!
True story- I got banned on club penguin so I made a new account
Woah dude are you ok? That's hardcore if you actually got banned.
That story is ice cold bro
I always look forward to your videos,it makes my day!
What about the time that that one Yakuza, the “Dragon of Dojima” or something like that beat up 100 guys at once and dodged two missiles while only using like 20% of his power?
Don't forget that he beats people with a bike.
Tucked away in bed, lights off and ready for the Stories! Thank you Lazy!
@@spacecat109 would you?
Amazing how these TRUE stories are so precise, no reason to remotely think that these are BS.
Make an Italian Mafia scary story setting! Please!
"some viewers might find one or two of these stories shocking or upsetting" this is lazy masquerade! what were you expecting exactly? lol
How could you forget the scariest yakuza story of all time? About heart surgeon number 1? Steady hand?
An army of 100,000 vs your army of 264,000
Love your videos! Another awesome one!
Narrator: "Some listeners may find one or two of these stories shocking or upsetting."
Me, having read Ichi the Killer: "We'll see about that."
Lol
Hey Lazy! I love your vids. Maybe you can do these videos in the future:
1. Mob stories (Italian/Russian/Chinese Triad)
2. Khmer Rouge storirs
3. South East Asian folklore (plenty of that here. Lots of horror stories)
Hey Lazy! Can you do a Video about the crimes by the turkish Mafia? :)
awesome vid lazy! thank you
WELL DID THE WRITER OF THE LAST STORY CONTINUE WORKING FOR THE YAKUZA OR NOT GOD DAMMIT?!
Dealt the worst hand in life.
This one was pretty bad ass. Its mostly suspense and shock more than horror but still VERY terrifying stuff. Good job!
I don't like these Yakuza stories, they really just make me angry more than suspensefull..
bollo The Enigma are you ... alright
bollo The Enigma nobody's trying to silence you idiot
The one where the woman was beaten made me angry. Yakuza or not, bastard really beat a woman and no one did anything. That's unforgivable.
bollo The Enigma calm down kid.
@@gaunterodimmmastermirrors72 that's sexist. You should treat men and women equally.
I love your narrations, you really capture the awful feeling of having committed murder. I think, because you know, I've never killed anyone before
Bro… why did you pronounce snickering in the first story like that?
Sometimes it is just hard to believe shit like this really happens in this world. That last one really fucked me up, not sure why I am so surprised when I've been on this planet to know how fucked up humanity can get. (I'm not an angel by any means). Good job Lazy on the narration, and for those that shared those horrific stories.
All I can say is... X gonna give to ya!
13:57 - "...working for a small group of **Yakuzer** in the city..."

These are good but I absolutely love the supernatural stories!!
the 3rd story really pisses me off i cant believe no one tried to fucking help her????
+jena jena well good for them , if they tried to help her, they will kill them too. sadly the cartel ,gangs and mafias like yakuza will find your ass and kill you if you snitch on them or try to stop them.
+FZJanimated they might even involved your family too
Yes , i saw one in mexico , a family got murdered because his son snitch some of the cartel drugs... his mom was killed with a sledgehammer and his father with a shotgun in the face ,they left with a sign saying "this is what happen if you snitch us " or something like that , in spanish the sign said " esto le pasa a los que ponen el dedo " i cant remember very well the name of the cartel though
I really love your videos Lazy, and it's great that you're allowed to post longer videos on your main channel again.
Its pronounced "YAK~ooh~za" NOT "ya~KEW~za"
