Nora Aunor and Sharon Cuneta are movie queens of 70's and 80's, respectively. Nora is tagged as "Superstar' while Sharo is "Megastar'. The movie press in 1984, as I remember, coined Sharon as "Megastar" after her series of several phenomenal blockbuster movies since her first movie "Dear Heart" until "Bukas Luluhod Ang Mga Tala" that broke the existing records in Philippine Cinema history. Sharon is the EPITOME OF TOO MUCH SUCCESS IN ALL FIELDS such as recording and albums (the most number of album hits & most number of single song hits e.g. Sana'y Wala Ng Wakas, Mr. DJ, Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko, Tubig At Langis, Pangarap Na Bituin, Bituing Walang Ningning, Ikaw, Sinasamba Kita, Maging Sino Ka Man, Kahit Konting Pagtingin, etc.), concerts (local and abroad that all are Standing Room Only (SRO), movies , TV shows, commercials, etc. Sharon's movies (almost all of her movies are PHENOMENAL BLOCKBUSTERS or RECORD BREAKERS, I think 95% when it comes to her batting average in blockbuster movies being box office queen. And Sharon is the ORIGINAL PHENOMENAL BLOCKBUSTER QUEEN.). Sharon's musical variety show TSCS lasted for 11 years (September 14, 1986 to June 15, 1997) from IBC 13 to ABS-CBN and then reformatted to "Sharon" musical talk show which the 1st season(September 6, 1998-May 9, 2004) lasted for almost 6 years while the 2nd season (February 26, 2006 to October 3, 2010) for more than 4 years so all in all her TSCS musical variety show and "Sharon" musical talk show lasted for more or less 22 years or 21 years. Megastars shows are "The Sharon Cuneta Show" (TSCS), "Sharon", "The Biggest Loser", "Star Power", "The Voice", Ang Probinsyano, Eat Bulaga (being one of the original hosts aside from the three main hosts Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, and Joey de Leon), GMA Supershow, etc. Sharon is also called ALL-TIME COMMERCIAL QUEEN since she has the most number of TV commercials to date. She the HIGHEST PAID COMMERCIAL ENDORSER until now. Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla movie "Maging Sino Ka Man" is THE MOST NUMBER OF AUDIENCE ATTENDED or THE MOST NUMBER OF MOVIE TICKETS SOLD in Philippine Cinema history, and if it gets converted to today's movie gross in Philippine peso it would gross 1.5 BILLION PESOS. Sharon's SUPREMACY of BEING NO.1 MOVIE QUEEN lasted for 3 DECADES in 1980's, 1990's and 1st decade of 2000. It is not paralleled by any movie queen even Nora Aunor because her supremacy lasted for only one decade in 1970's, and she has a close competitor for that who is Vilma Santos, while Sharon's closest competitor Maricel Soriano is only far second when it comes to movie box office, TV shows, commercials, etc). Sharon Cuneta is the only one in the Philippine Cinema or Philippine Movie Industry that LIVES UP TO ONE'S TITLE (Megastar title) that is coined to her. She has WAY MORE LIVED UP TO her title because until now there is still the SHARON'S EFFECT that her popularity or star never wanes even if their lots of young superstars.
Nora Aunor "Superstar" musical variety show lasted for 20 years on RPN 9. And being a movie queen in 80's (or even in 70's and 90's), one must have a musical variety show or musical talk show (e.g. Nora Aunor (Superstar), Sharon ("The Sharon Cuneta Show" to "Sharon"), Vilma Santos (Vilma), etc.
These two are good singers but they are also known and more popular as actors titled as the "Mega Star" (Sharon) and "Super Star" (Nora). They each had multiple blockbuster films and are multi awarded for acting.

Nora Aunor was recently given the honor of being National Artist.. another bearer of that title is Ryan Cayabyab, composer of Regine's song Araw Gabi.. national artists have a car license plate with National Artist on it, I know as our neighbor Jovita Fuentes, a coloratura soprano, had that special license plate, now as a coloratura is the classical equivalent of a belting queen and that high pitch carries far, I grew up hearing her sing as my childhood bedroom faced her house.. 😊
Another National Artist is Atang Dela Rama, quite important for the musical theater dramas of the 1920s called zarzuela, something like what Pilita Corrales took part in while she was young. Between the more Spanish-influenced zarzuela of the 1920s and the bodabil or vaudeville of the 1930s a lot of the old school type of Filipino melody from the 1950s onwards can be traced. Post-WW2 Hollywood influences and finally today's Korean influence can easily be seen as well, even as in the '70s when Nora Aunor was at her peak there was a radio quota for Filipino music.
The song Wale was asking about that Nora was singing was Tuliro by another music and theater icon Celeste Legazpi.
I think this is Nora Aunor’s own Variety Show entitled SUPERSTAR. It was the longest running Variety show. on TV. Earlier during the Martial Law almost all shows went to a halt except hers otherwise people will revolt and I mean that. She was the favorite of the mother of Ex President Ferdinand E Marcos and family. Dona Josefa Edralin Marcos, even went to the extent of letting her be picked up by helicopter just to listen to her. I know you watched a few tagalog films, idk if you’ll like Himala (since it’s an old film, serious film) but that’s Nora’s famous film. I watched the digitally restored version as an adult but growing up I’ve always heard people praising the film that it’s a masterpiece.

The songs they did were a medley of song entries in the Manila Pop Music Festival. Said festival was an annual contest during the 80s open to Filipino songwriters and its aim is to encourage the Filipinos to create their own music and not just do covers of foreign songs, thereafter giving rise to OPM or original Filipino music. During the contest finale, song compositions are usually sang or interpreted by famous Filipino artists. Fun fact: the song "Anak" by Freddie Aguilar did not win first place but was awarded a special prize for being unique.
