You’ve become a true apostle for Unify, Simeon, and rightly so. MegaMagic is what made PlugInGuru unique, indeed by baking in reverb with the samples. Even more unique in this Unify installment is that the reverb has its own layer, you could even use with other instruments.
Simeon, thanks so much for taking us on this Unify Mega Magic Guitars V3 journey. Also, since Unify has been recently updated to version 1.10 it would be great if you could highlight the new features of this major update in an upcoming Live Stream and show us how you incorporate them into your daily musical work flow. I believe that Cakewalk is your preferred DAW and It would be of great interest to your subscribers, not to mention myself, to learn how you have Unify setup within Cakewalk and also whether you have used Unify stand alone in a performance scenario other than your video demonstrations as you are such a great keyboardist?
Fantastic tour of this gorgeous pack with your always incredible playing, Simeon! Just got MegaMagic Guitars 1 & 2 recently, so snapped this V3 up as soon as I spotted it a couple days ago. So enjoyed learning which patches you liked, and of course your beautiful playing to inspire and teach us! And wow, your keyboard guitar playing skills were the best I've ever heard - & awesome to actually see some of the techniques you used! Longtime keys player, but long ago played guitar for a decade - so had a couple things I could do to make it sound NOT like a keys person playing a guitar vst, lol! But you went WAY beyond that! Just got a master class in how to make a guitar vst sound like the real thing. I'm absolutely loving Unify - so happy I found out about it a couple months ago when I first bumped into your channel. Have a lot to learn, but looking forward to being able to learn much from both your verbal insights and inspired playing! Also loving all your pipe organ journeys! Thank you!
Beautiful Simeon. Again you make me want to buy something! 😀 It's my understanding that everything that John slaps the MegaMagic tag on has baked-in reverb in all the samples. At least that was the case with the original MegaMagic titles. He's the only one who does this.
Thanks so much Reid. Yes, The MegaMagic is the extra layer that is just the effect layer (reverbs, delays, shimmers, etc.). What this allows you to do is to pull up other instruments and use the MegaMagic Layer along with them to give you an added dimension to whatever other sound you want. For instance, use a piano sound with one of the MegaMagic Effect layers to give you something totally unexpected. It does indeed open up some creative possibilities.
Thanks for testing all these new sounds. Saving us tons of time
I'm So getting this ...before Aug 13😊 ... Beautiful and uplifting Simeon thank you💛
