Hi! I've been looking for an action camera and i watched almost all of your reviews but i couldn't choose because there are too many options. My budget is around 125$. I would use it for fishing videos so the video quality is very important. Can you reccommend a camera that can record in real 4k?
Impressive recordings at night. I like it!
Thanks for watching!
Darned. I ordered the SJ11 yesterday. Now I see this would be way better for me. I'll be using it on a cycling trip. I need good sound and good low light. This has both. Why didn't I watch this video yesterday. I thought, that's dumb 2 lenses. I don't need that. Didn't realize what it was for. Great video, thank you. Cheers.
You always have the best weather 😊
I do!! 🤩
Great review! It is noticeable that the processor is a little weak and has difficulty stabilizing. At the same time, the night video is quite dim and that’s good!
Thanks for checking out the video!
Can the night vision work in almost pitch black with an additional infrared light?
No
Can you please do a comparison video in low light with another action camera?
I can tell you that it will be better than a gopro 12 but the Action 4 will do better in low light
Very nice review, thank you! I see, the stabilisation seems to be on pair with the SJ6 Legend or even a bit worse (what is quite disappointing in 2024), low light performance is really impressive (although the IS should be rather turned off then as it creates motion blur; but, on the other hand, even the newest GoPro stabilisation is unusable in low light conditions), but I also see, the camera has pretty severe problems with stabilisation during panning - as can be seen at e.g. 6:46 or 7:23. My SJ6 also produces small jumps at the beginning of panning quite often, but not as pronounced as the SJ20. I hope it can be cured with a firmware update.
What camera do you use in the video?
Everything outside was filmed with an iPhone 15 Pro & hohem microphone. The inside footage sony A6400
Great review and the first actual test I have seen that is not by SJCAM them selves! I have a few older SJCAM models and they are always great value for money. This one caught my eye for the low light capability, it would be interesting to se how well it picks up the night sky and stars. I might be interested to buy one mostly for night time lapse videos for something like northern lights and stars if it can handle that.
Well...it was sent to me directly by SJCAM... That is a good idea. I'll see how it looks and if it's anything decent I'll make a short
It's really bang for bucks i think. Only complain is sometimes its that jumping flicker choppy.
Does it support timestamps in software?
yes
Manufacturing defect on the pole that you are holding. The camera should be facing backwards while the buttons are facing you. I fixed mine by desoldering and resoldering the wires inside. SJCAM's QC should do better.
I have the SJCAM SJ11. If the stabilization is comparable to the SJ11 everything is good. There are a few videos with the SJ11 on my channel.
If you have decent budget, go for Gopro hero series, but if you’re tight in budget sj20 is good budget meal action cam
Спасибо, хорошее видео, очень понятно.
❤❤❤!
Thanks for checking it out
Eu gostei bastante do modo noturno dela, mas nao gostei muito da estabilização, a DJI ospo pocket 3 esta se saindo melhor nesse ponto.
i see some actual review, the battery with attached on it last for 8hrs, just sold my hero 9, i think this would be the best option. long record with no battery heat.
The problem with this camera is the stabilization that isn’t great
I’m surprised at how good the mic was, but that stabilization hasn’t really improved. The lowlight looks good, but the stab jitter is really bad.
Enfin un test ... 😂
😀
RRRrrrrriding! Nice pronunciation, really :D And good cam test. Now I dont regret buying used GoPro11 for bike riding.
The gopro 11 is miles ahead of this one
@@RedskullProwhich is better sjcam c300 or this sj 20?
parabéns, muito legal seu vídeo. aonde fica esse lugar?
sou do brasil meu idioma é português!!
So whats the best cheapo cam on market today. Akaso brave 7 le ..? Or just buy a second hand GP7..🤔
*Crap Game* 🎉
Good night recording, but the stabilization not so much
Thanks for checking out the video!
Still Ace pro king of low light .. pure video
Also 4 times more expensive :)
@@RedskullPro yup
SJCAM are improving their cameras but I think they aren't a real competitor for GoPro or DJI yet.
SJcam stabilization is always bad. I had the SJ10 Pro and sold it. Upgraded to Go Pro and never looked back, I thought the SJ20 would have improved the stabilization but it's no different from the SJ10 Pro. Even with a simple walk, the vibration is very obvious and shakes. Panning also has a lot of lagging. Although the video resolution and sharpness has improved from its predecessor.
No, i wouldnt buy this one. Stabilization is very bad. I prefer my dji pocket 2 and dji action, that also takes nd filters. Thanks for the video
Thanks for checking out the video!!
of course if you have more budget
You can find a used DJI Osmo Action 1... for lower then 200$!
My first camera was a SJ4000+, but back then there wasn't as many options like there are today!
Too bad that SJCAM only makes low bitrate poor sensor cameras and didn't managed to evolve like all other competitors did!
Even a gopro 7 would do way better imo
Nighttime footage looks very good, untill you start moving. Then again: even in bright daylight the image stabilisation isn't all that great. SJcam has been around for quite some time now, and they still haven't figured out decent stabilisation.
Yeah, when you see the night footage on the camera’s screen it looks great… on a big screen the moving doesn’t look that amazing
Im looking for battery life, so I guess this is the right one.
Some problems et low light, somme deformation and shaking...or creation, for the moment sjcam fail
Thanks for checking out the video!
I need an action camera 😍
Indeed!
Low light When move, some "jitter".
The video from sj20 looks like the video vhs camera in 1998.
haha, not far!
I think sj11 might have better stabilization... Or you just forget to on stabilization function
Что за акцент? Ты молдаванин или русский?)
I got a gopro 8... I don't think I'll ever buy another action camera
Ince you have a decent one, hard to justify spending more money on another one
The stabilization really made me headache
Yeah, not great
First!
1st indeed!
Seems like a gimmick. Why not just use one better quality lens/sensor?
All action cameras have the same issue… due to the size the sensors inside them are pretty small… therefore it’s hard to get enough light. This was an attempt to fix that 🤷♂️
@@RedskullPro That is exactly my point: use a better sensor/lens combo to start with, instead of this gimmick.
dji acepro is far superior, even in low light
You mean the insta360 ace pro. Did you see the price on that one?!
Кто вообще снимает 30fps? Покажи 60!
It only does 4k30 so no 4k 60 available
garbage, action 4 works better at night
Thanks for checking out the video!
sorry sjcam but it still crap.
🤓 thanks for watching
