La Violetera (Piano Arrangement)

- This song has an interesting story... The Spanish composer, Jose Padilla, wrote the song while traveling in Paris. The song debuted in Barcelona, Spain, and became famous as a "cuple" (popular Spanish song genre).
Charlie Chaplin used the song in his film "City Lights", and the song was also featured in "Scent of a Woman". The Spanish film "La Violetera" with Sara Montiel really made popular the beautiful melody.

@@SergioCalderonPiano Play by ear and passion. A computer can play by notes and metronome. Only a human can impart an emotional interpretation.

@@SergioCalderonPiano I noticed that right off, Serg. Seemed like a honky tonk or upright piano sound. Makes it feel more wistful I think. I bet the Yamaha has good guitar sounds. I've said before I'd like to hear you play some Spanish guitar but you probably have to play differently for that to work. Try it and see how it goes!
@@m10538 Honky Tonk it is... I like the "out of world" sound of it, and I like how it works on some songs. I also arranged "El Arroyo Que Murmura", and it's plain Honky Tonk. I like the voices in the Yamaha much better and many more choices, but I miss the rhythms that the Casio had. I find the rhythms inspire me if I'm trying to compose, and the Yamaha doesn't have much, or I don't know how to use them (probably true). When I'm arranging a song now I try different voices and that's how I learn... Thanks for the comments!

Lo siento, pero yo toco el piano de oido y no leo musica, asi que no hay "partitura". Yo arreglo la melodia a mi manera y esa es mi interpretacion. Me alegra mucho que le haya gustado...
