the growth and improvement between this and the 2013 west end live is astonishing! she's got angrier and there's more emotion in her voice, it would be amazing to see how much more she's improved this year, if she wasn't leaving in February...
I know! Man I couldn't hear a thing on stage over the screams! haha I heard the first three notes of the song then AHHHHHHHH! Just had to take a wild guess! XD xxx
I love her voice, but why does she add the D on "pretending?" Shouldn't the melody (in the key she's singing at least) go from B straight to C and not from B to D and then back down to C? In her self-recorded video she does it differently, the way I believe it should be sung, personally. Go check it out and see if you can spot the difference in tonality.
The entire musical is very strict with the tunes etc, and theres no leeway for riffing etc so there is some room for freedom with the word "pretending" meaning the actress can sing it however she chooses, and Carrie chooses to do it in this way which I personally think is original and lovely! So to answer your question this is the only place there is no set melody :) xxx
She is the best Eponine I have ever seen.
She's wonderful
Our school is doing this musical and I’m so happy just to be in it. My friend is playing Eponine
She's so incredible I'm gonna cry
CARRIE HOPE FLETCHER!! PERFECTION!
i got chills
Carries gives me shivers every time. I don't think I've ever heard this song sung with so much beauty. It's so raw and god damn mesmerising.
