Boy, what a treat! They just had so many awesome rocks and your bucket of LSA's was just amazing! I can't wait to go through those with you and cut some! There was just some real winners without cutting or anything! And the fluorite pieces that they had in the fabulous colors was just magic! And I'm with you. I love the dugway geodes best! They are my favorite kind and the chalcedony on them is very reactive! It flows a very intense green! They are so cool! I hope you picked up at least one of them!?! There isn't enough time in one day to go over all the rocks and not nearly enough money in my wallet to go through that rock shop! Lol! Thanks kate❤
Ha, Lisa, you're right about that! I didn't buy any Dugway geodes - I figured I would wait until I could dig my own. Thank you so much for all your support.
If you are still in town, I highly recommend M’or Designs in Roseville MN and Minnesota Lapidary in Princeton MN. Both places have experienced geologists and a tremendous amount of exciting materials. Glad to hear you are visiting. If you have time, the North Shore of Lake Superior will take your breath away.
Maybe they mis labeled it. It was a flattish rock. My only concern is that if it is a tiger eye, you should wear a mask to work with it. I don’t want you or Jim to get rock botch!
Nice store! Those kyanite clusters were awesome! I’ve been looking for some to slab and cab but they are hard to find. Can’t wait to see what you’ll do with that bucket of LSA’s!
That was a nice shop! A lot of variety. I appreciate you showing us. Kate, I’m pretty sure that wasn’t rhodochrosite. I think it was rhodonite. I have a whole tray of various pieces of rhodochrosite, I lucked into getting at an auction many years ago, and have gotten very familiar with their color, patterns and bandings. At least the Argentinian kind I am.
Hi, Patricia! I actually have joined Highland Park Lapidary for their weekly (actually Wednesday through Saturday) auctions, where they show and sell tons and TONS of different rocks from around the world. You can register to be there too!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video visit with beautiful gemstones and crystals. I want to share some info with you. We (my daughter and I) can feel the energy in crystals, and we use them for healing and help. For instance, when I have a headache, I hold a shiva lingam stone in my left hand for 10-15 minutes and the headache usually goes away. That's a lot better than popping a chemical pill, which I haven't done since 2018. Green adventurine will sometimes do the same thing as the shiva. It's just important to hold them in the left hand as that allows the energy of the chakra system to flow in from the left and exit out through the right. Through grounding (earthing) and crystals, God put the healing in the earth that we need, and we all should get back in touch with nature and the earth. He gave us everything we need, and the wonder and beauty of His creation is beyond compare.
Ooooh, that's a tough one. Rock identification varies so much depending on where you are. I would actually watch some of Currently Rockhounding's videos on rock identification using hardness, streak and other tell-tale signs.
It's always such a fun time at this shop. I highly recommend it to anybody that has the chance to go! Thank you Kate for covering my favorite shop!
You are so welcome!
Superman used to go to the The Fortress of Solitude to get away from it all...😁
I might do the same!
If you are still in the area ZRS Fossils is another cool shop in Minneapolis just South of Lake and Lyndale.
Thank you!
The fortress of solitude!!!! Superman, thanks katy!!!
That's exactly it!
So close to my home and I didn’t even know about it! Looks like a day trip is in my future. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
Awesome!
Красота неймовірна, таке різноманіття кольорів.
Дуже дякую!
I really enjoyed the video.. I've never been to a rock store before. Thanks for sharing Kate
It's worth it!
Oh Katy, I'm so glad I wasn't there as I wouldn't have been able to control my addiction to rocks. So many beautiful rocks.

Thanks for sharing! It’s nice to see rock shops we can’t visit ourselves.
:) Thanks for watching!
I would have a hard time pulling myself away from a rock store like that. Your bucket had me excited! Lol ❤
The bucket is WAY cool.

Thanks, Sue. I was only in town for business, so stayed in Minneapolis area - but definitely will keep that in mind for next time!
❤ Lots of beautiful things!
Thank you. :)
What amazing rocks!
It's a great shop!
I’m in Saint Paul your almost to Lake Superior. You should hit Duluth and Grand Marais mn if you’re still here
I would love to do so - just didn't have the option this time.
@@KatyDidRocks you should reach out to agate dad maybe you two could swap visits . He is an expert on Lsa and has really good lapidary skills
Nice store visit! I feel like a rock zombie, instead of “Braaaiiins” I am staggering along , going, “Rooocckkksss.”
Thanks!
HAHA! Right? :D BTW, I cut your Mexican striped jasper - it's going to be in a future video. You're a star!
Rainbow tiger eye?@@KatyDidRocks

I had never heard of this shop. Thank You for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Welcome to Minnesota
Thanks! I actually lived in Minnesota for three years of my life, although not consecutively. :)
Outstanding video,thanks for the education!
Thank you!
I worked at a shop just like that for years ❤
Nice! Sounds like a good job. :)
Would love a bucket like that 😮
Me too!

Yep, there were some amazing stones.

All I really knew was "rhodo...something." :D
Im sorry to tell you, but that purple mist aura quartz is dyed.
Awww, that's too bad. :(
The pink stone you weren’t sure about is Peruvian pink opal and the other stone you were trying to think of is rhodenite.
Thanks, William!
Like a candystore🤩🤩🤩
You got that right!
You are impressive in your identification. What is the information to how you're learning? Is it a book, a class???

I love the shiva linghams... definitely feel their positivity.
I live in Michigan and I hope you find something in that bucket that serves the U.P. justice
Hello there! My most recent video takes a look at some of the rocks inside - they were 100% fun. :)
Waaa in Minneapolis and you didn't drop by my grocery store? :)
LOL, I missed the memo!
In your opinion what is the best rock identification book for the slightly better than beginner?
Ooooh, that's a tough one. Rock identification varies so much depending on where you are. I would actually watch some of Currently Rockhounding's videos on rock identification using hardness, streak and other tell-tale signs.
Has anyone offered to take you rockhounding? I would love to! Just let me know!❤
Thanks so much. :) Unfortunately, I was in town for a student conference, not a pleasure trip - so I squeezed in what I could.
No worries! Let me know if you and your hubby come back! Would love to take you somewhere you can find your own Lsa’s😊
