I might even say the musicians of today, the ones who really play, are technically better then alot of older bands. ( this recording sounds terrible) check out St Vincent, FKJ or snarky puppy, Arctic Monkey's, Radiohead, Ween, they might be giants, Dweezil Zappa, Dessa, or Galactic. All making music right now.

They opeaned for 2 bands in Chicago in 78 . Blew them out of the water. Great blues rock band. Was in high school and even then you knew these guys were a top notch band. Not frills or light show crap. They were a no nonsense rockin blues fun machine.

I had a friend who could really blow harp probably just as good ( He was actually my Dads best freind ) Great blues player named Ernie Parkin. He died about ten years ago now. Great musical influence on me. I'm still trying to play the harp, but guitar seems to be my fortae.
