Hey Tyler - for those of us who are just now learning how to play the ukulele, could we requested a guided practice video on the chords most popular and well loved - that would be amazing!! Start out with a simple strum pattern for each chord and transition to the next chord (I think I would do the circle of fifths so it's at least musical sounding and pleasing to the ear to play). While we could easily practice this way on our own here at home, (Classically trained pianist here so I know how to practice on my own but I will tell you...) playing your videos and trying to play along is so much more fun for me these days. It's not only nice to hear the little reminders, but it's super fun to just play along with someone else and try to keep up rather than playing all by myself (total flashbacks of having to sit at the piano for hours and practice monotonous Hanon Virtuoso Pianist exercises out of my beloved yellow Schirmer book). LOL! Admittedly, I really did actually enjoy playing through that book but it just about killed me before I conquered it. Don't tell my piano teacher I ever said that... Also... think about it, if you put together a video like that, it is likely to get played numerous times over by thousands who are trying to practice and learn all their chords just like I am. That's an awful lot of extra passive income from one video alone... ;)
Wow, merci beaucouup. The only comment is you said A sharp several times, and it's usually referred to as B flat, as you said at the end of the video. That takes nothing away from the more than great content.
Happy to hear that it helped you! Now you can really start to have some fun with melody, learning your favorite ones, transposition, intervals, scale and chord construction, fingerstyle playing. All kinds of fun stuff happen when you learn the fretboard!
Wonderful and good pace but I was totally lost...too much information all at once. It will take me a while to aborb all this but your tutorial was spot on to learn and memorize the fret board.
I've been kinda neglecting ukulele lately, and not playing as much but this gives me new interesting things to learn and I'll hop back on it! THANKS A LOT TYLER!!!
Tyler!!! Thank you again!! You make it sound so achievable. I’m learning tons from your instructional videos like this one. I appreciate your time and effort!!!👍
This is a pretty heavy concept for a beginner. Maybe I can't point you to some theory that is a little more concurrent with where you are in your playing experience. Have you learned scales? Do you know what an interval is? Can you play barre chords? A really good early concept for beginners to learn with theory is transposition. Learning a song and playing that same chord progression in another key. Try this lesson ua-cam.com/video/OOscP3rktLg/v-deo.html This will build certain skills that will make it easier to learn the fretboard further down the road.

I have a video called “every beginner chord for ukulele” that will help you a lot! Good luck!
In the airport, I’ll read the whole comment when I land.
Brilliant video THANK YOU
That barred E just showed me a way to get from a C to and E chord... woooohooo! Thanks TTP!
That’s incredibly helpful, thank you so much 😊
Great to hear!

Wooow 🤯 I finally understood it, thanks!!!
Yes!!!! 🎉
Very cool Tyler
This is great, because it gives understanding, its not just rote learning.
Tyler, thanx a lot for this lesson! It is kind of genius. By learning the notes this way I learn the root notes and the bar chords as well!
Thank you.
@@sheila-mariecatz6127 you are very welcome Shelia, I appreciate your comment.
There BE no sharps or flats after B and E.
I like what you did there
Thank you very much ♡

Yeah, but can you move *every single* chord on the ukulele? 🤣 Great stuff man!
Hahahaha

In case you didn't catch it, every note on the ukulele is movable 😅
This is not making sense to me? I’m a beginner!
