As an employee of Martin, I truly enjoy hearing you play, and say that it’s a great guitar. It’s things like this that make it easy to wake up in the morning and get excited to work for the best guitar manufacturer on the planet. Keep up the awesome content Jeremy!
I love Martins. I save money to get one because its too expensive here in the Philippines but im gonna get one soon :) thanks for making great guitars!
That's amazing! I'm so glad you found this. I've loved Martin guitars and have been chasing them for 20 years. I've never done the tour but would love to come hang out. Thanks, Nickolas!
Nick I've got an 000-18 coming next month and i thank ya'll for your amazing work!!
@@siegmac3267 amazing! I hope you get one sooner than later my friend! Thank you
@@andorrasrevenge1683 awesome! You’re really going to like it!
"I'm the caretaker while I'm alive."
I just love that. It just embodies a terrific respect for the gift of music and the memories that these instruments hold.
and it has a VERY cool back story ..... Keep it up Baxter.... ! Props to ya !
I would like to give a shout out to all the guys at Casino Guitars, particularly Sean. He was the salesman who I dealt with in March 10, 2022 to purchase my new Martin 00-15M AND a LX1 Little Martin for my granddaughters 10th birthday! She loves her new guitar! And so does grandpa!! You guys are awesome! Thanks again!
Love the store tour. Awesome inventory. Wish I lived closer.
I don't think a lot of people realize how good we have it right now with so many new quality guitars available, both acoustic and electric. I also love how the brands are offering Original Spec/historic pieces with finish options and that sound great right out of the box. Torrification amazes me. Even so, I feel like the current generation of music is not so guitar driven compared to previous decades which saddens me a bit.
The fact that they are that good on the floor means that the company is doing better work than ever. There are many who will buy a $5k guitar and never appreciate it, but there are those of us who will feel and hear the difference. There will always be an appreciation for handmade quality from real musicians who care about the craft. We are so blessed to be on the receiving side of hundreds of years of tedious perfected labor.
That 00-28 Modern Deluxe is stunning. I can only imagine the sound after it opens up a bit more.
Thanks for this!!!
Comb of two of my favorite guitar shows on UA-cam! Love it!!!
“I’m the caretaker while I’m alive.” These are almost exactly what my best friend expressed about his ‘76 D-35. He passed away in April and now I’m the caretaker of the Martin D-35. Someday I’ll pass it on to the next caretaker, but in the meanwhile I’ll play it daily and give it all the love it needs. Really enjoy watching your Martin journeys.
I've been watching Casino Guitars vids for quite a while. The videos you're in Jeremy are great. Thanks for the store tour!
Thanks, Chris! Those guys are alright.
Thanks for taking us inside the walls of Casino for a peak at their shop! You must have had a blast.
I had an amazing time! I checked my bank account twice...true story...
WOAH! I seriously want to make the trip to see casino guitars now! Also, I can only imagine what my 2018 Martin D15m is going to look and sound like in another 30 years... that 0-17 is BEAUTIFUL! Mahogany guitars have a SPECIAL place in my heart.
Do it and I'll come with!
cool tour! I watch that channel quite often
Landon! Let's get together!
Love my Martin, 84 D35 HB. Sounds as good as it looks. Killer action.
@@Narrowboatnumberthree I overpaid but absolutely pristine. Aged well, a beautiful caramel. A good friend for 30 years.
Wow. That was fun to watch.
I own a 1937 Martin 0-17. It rings like a bell. These old solid mahogany parlor Martins are true gems.
That's such a wonderful guitar! They are gems for sure.
Tommy Emmanuel has one he got from Chet Atkins. 1934 0-17. Here he is playing it:
ua-cam.com/video/mFi_g3TgNeY/v-deo.html
I have a 1934 0-17 and eight old 0-18's and a 1931 0-21. I bought them a while ago when everyone just wanted big guitars. Lucky for me at that time.
I’m so glad I saw this, loved the Casino tour. Also, I played on one of those aged Martin aged 37s in TX and thought it was the best Martin I’ve played as well…. At least I don’t feel like I’m going crazy anymore.
I've played a couple and felt the same way with all 3 I've played....*checking bank balance intensifies* haha
Same... best acoustic guitar i have played.
Wow what fun. I found you through Casino. Loved seeing the shop.
Beautiful shop, awesome guitars and people!
So true about modern Martin build quality. It’s just superb.
Saw you on Casino, so I subscribed!☠️☠️☠️🖖
I've slapped the ham to this video twice now...excellent content man...
Acoustic, aschmoustic, that Yaron was insane! Kidding, the Martin was awesome too.
Lovely Lady May! Great vid, fantastic seeing you guys all in the same place! Baxter is a super cool guy too, love his philosophy about being the caretaker of these works of art while he's alive
That’s what I was thinking…cool deal. A little Childers cover squeezed in.
Ol' Baxter can play hisself some eeeelectric guitar!!! Awesome vid! Three of my favs all in one place!
Love the guy's attitude about being the caretaker of that WWII acoustic.
This place is fantastic! Only been there once, but it was an amazing experience. Can’t wait to go back and buy some guitars.
I see my guitar that I bought from there on the wall lol, I must’ve come drove up there a few weeks after you. It’s the Taylor 224 ce-k dlx. Baxter really is the same off camera, such a cool dude!
Baxter is so cool, love that you guys got together!
He really is a beacon of joy and fun.
Baxter is such a cool guy. The 0-17 story is such a neat part of its history.
Great video Jeremy! Love the Martin room. I saw that you said you checked your bank account twice while you were there. After going, I wouldn’t want to look at my bank account because you definitely have more self control than I do!
I probably have more kids than you too, haha. My friend Aaron Short just bought that 1937 D-28 VTS
@@JeremySheppard no kids yet, just fluffy ones, four of them!
Super cool of you guys to cross market (whatever the name is) wow what a store
I loved the video! I love it when you take us on a trip with you to see these great guitars. I just purchased a Martin OM modern deluxe. I am absolutely stunned by the quality, tone and playability. And in spite of owning several incredible acoustic guitars, this one is the best!
We love our Martins. From Mex to USA they always sound good to me.
Jeremy, sweet vid! you gotta give the new martin OM modern deluxe a ride. It has me floored! (i got one sight unseen and thought I'd regret it...not looking back)
JS see you at NAMM 2023! yeah fun times. Namm. Love it.
I enjoyed this excursion to Casino Guitars. Recently, I visited Gruhn Guitars while in Nashville. Casino reminds me of Gruhn. Thank you Jeremy for this delightful trip. Baxter, you have done an excellent job and your taste is impeccable. I hope to visit someday.
This was a fun tour. Y'all go together like peas and carrots
So fun to go shopping with you. Very very nice store
I live 8 minutes from Casino. Known the guys a long time. It’s a great shop for sure.
It’s a dream of mine to walk through those doors one day. I’ll get there. I’m up in NY, so it’s gonna be a bit lol. Those dudes are the coolest! Jonathan was a huge help in finding me the right acoustic which I ended up buying and absolutely love!
Love to see that new perspective in Casino Guitars. The place is just as neat as I imagined it.
I’m going to Casino.
I’m in South Wales, UK
But I’m going
oh boy i saw a lefty Martin on the wall!!! Noice geetars guys!!! Rock on!
I’ve been subscribed to both yours and Casino’s channels for a while. Spotted Baxter in a red Guitar Hunter T-shirt in another video. Good choice, cough cough. 🤣
That was great, thanks!
I got to see part of this live but had to get on the road. I love Martins and these look and sound wonderful. I wish I had the money to add more to the 00 and 000 Martins I have. I’ve owned a number of them and they always feel and play so good. Maybe not out of the box but with a proper setup they are amazing. Nothing against Gibson or Taylor ( I own or have owned both) but Martins are just to my liking.
Thank you again.
Have been in this shop many times; always a thrilling experience.
I never realized they were NC, I need to plan a trip up that way lol
Yeap, caretaker here too! ‘51 Gibson J50, ‘57 O18, ‘72 Fender F35 mahogany, sounds surprisingly gr8, these were all inherited and cherished. I bought myself a Xmas gift in ‘14, an HD28V and it keeps gettin better with age. There are gonna be some happy campers when I move on.
That OOO28 sounded awesome. 👍
As a lefty I am so jealous you get to walk into shops and pick every thing off the wall to experience.
North Carolina native here. I need to come check that place out. I’d like to give a shout out to Guitar Wishes in Lincolnton, NC, another cool guitar shop. By the way, that Martin sure does ring out like a bell.
Excellent job, enjoy the time spent watching this, I always like the cats at casino 🎰 😀 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Those guys are so fun and their shop is great.
Awesome video Jeremy!
You like them triple modern deluxes I see Jeremy, they a pretty badass.
I have 2015 614ce,And a 2019 614,ce v brace builders edition,And I also have Martin guitars and those two guitars are my favorite out all my guitars and I have eight high end guitars.614 ce is one hard to beat guitar
It is an amazing guitar.
I recently added a new 612e, the baby brother. Love it!
@@markinmemphis I would love to have the 612 I bet you love this great guitar,I own eight Taylor guitars and I an love All of them
My local shop! Love Casino Guitars! Awesome people!
Thanks for making me dream about stuff I can never have. I have to muddle through with my Taylor GS Mini.
GS Minis are great! I can help you learn how to hustle and snowball into other gear.
I love my DX1AE Martin. She sounds gorgeous. I love the laminated neck. It'll never shift. Great design.
Hard to disagree with that. It's a good workhorse.
I've recently acquired one. I was looking to buy a martin for my birthday and intended to buy a road series model. I played lots and ended up with a pre owned x series. It sounded and felt better to me. I'm very happy with it. It also feels very robust, like it could take a knock or a spillage no problem.
I'd feel anxious with a guitar that cost more than my car, in case I dropped it, or scratched it. With this one I don't worry. Did I say it sounds great?
That is a very special place what Awsome guitars !! 👍I hope I can afford one some day !! Great video !! 👍👏👏👏😊🎸
Great video, almost heard some Chris Acker in that playing you did.
what's the point of that blur?
I really like your playing style Jeremy! It's truly mesmerizing!
That 000-28 at 10:00 (a little harvest moon) and at the end? Man! That sounded amazing! I have a 94 HD28, which I love, but the top cracked some years ago. Got it fixed, but I'd still like to have a new Martin someday. I'm 74, so WTF, right? That one would suit me fine! $4K? (-:
New fan here for you Jeremy. Love the fellas and atmosphere of Casino Guitars
Man, that Martin O-17. Whew! That is all that can be said.
And that D-28 sounds exactly like a Dread should. Beautiful!
got my d-18 from this shop. play it everyday and hope to visit baxter and co when i'm in the area one day.
I gotta visit Casino Guitars! Wow!!
This is brilliant.martin guitars always sound so damn good
Great guitar. Just found the best Martin, besides the d18 authentic, I've ever heard. 000-28 Custom Authentic 1937. Love it. Got it last year
Fantastic Video!!!
So question for you, maybe a great video idea. I keep hearing the recent Martins are as good as ever, so for someone wanting to buy and sell guitars, what years do you say yes to and what years do you pass on? Like would you say no to 90’s, 2000’s? What years do you consider great quality?
Awesome buddy!
So cool really enjoyed the video
Thanks so much
That Martin at 9:56 has one of the best tones I have ever heard.. wow
Just got my fourth Martin. An HD28 Ambertone. Just a standard as that is all I can do but hats off to the interest free payments. The only way I could swing it. It is the best sounding and easiest to play off the four. Martin is making the best guitars now. I have two D18's, a 64 and 04. A 095 000-18, and now my hd28.
Considering getting a n authentic but I would have to sell one or two. We will see.
Impressive shop and nice demonstration of fine instruments.
I agree with you completely. Taylor is a good company and makes Great guitars but I like the tone of Martins. I hope Martin doesn't cheapen the quality.
I'm loving the guitars in that shop. I have a 1998 Martin HD35, bought new, that I will never part with. It has aged beautifully (except for a small problem with the finish that I need to speak to Martin about. We'll see how good there lifetime warranty is!). I've looked at a number of Taylors, and though they are fine guitars, I just can't get too excited about them in general. It's a very subjective and personal thing. I did play one that I really liked (8-or 900 series?) and I would have bought on the spot if money was no object - but it is...
It would be a dream to own a Martin guitar. Great upload . Thanks
Thanks for watching! I hope you get to own one soon.
They aren’t even allowed to play a vintage Gibson in their store because they aren’t technically a dealer?! Wth?! 🤦🏼♀️
Those are some nice guitars you found at Casino! Thanks for making the trip! I hope you guys will do more videos together in the future - I saw the one they posted too!
It's a replica, not an actual Gibson. It was a customers guitar and he requested it get blurred.
F I wanna buy that martin but I'm glad he has it and is willing to let ppl play it
Beautiful playing as well
I bought my first Martin about a month ago. It's a 000-15M. I love it. It's the best sounding, easiest playing guitar that I have ever owned. I hope someday to own a 000-28 or an OM. Martin guitars are amazing!
I just bought an OM-28 after saving up for about a year. Total worth doing someday! My first Martin.
Hey Don, I have a 2001 000-15M and I also own a 2019 OM-28. For what it's worth, I prefer playing the 000-15M. For my style, it's easier to play and sounds great, being Mahogany. I love the OM-28 but I'm always concerned with scratching it cause it's still perfect. The 000-15M is my go-to for sure. Hope you love it for a long time.
@@boblegros4947 Thank you. It has become my go to acoustic guitar. The neck is so comfortable and it's the lightest guitar I own. A pure pleasure to play.
Got a 000-15M too! Gifted from my dad..such a special sounding guitar, I love it..
Wow, amazing guitars ❤
13:12. Daisy Mae is such a beautiful Isbell song.
The new Martin HD28's are really incredible if you find the right one.
What is being hidden by the pixelation? And why?
Loving the iron and wine tune
What’s up with the blur block?
The names were changed to protect the innocent.
Cover the ridiculous prices.
These guys are awesome, I visited them last year and the shop is as cool as it looks on youtube, and everyone there is even cooler.
Just there today and spoke with Baxter. Just a great guy and shop. Worth the trip.
What a spectacular store.. And seem like great people too. ;)
That sounds very nice indeed
love this video what a great shop and good dudes!
What was it you had to blur out?
Right, what's up with all the blurring boxes?
I have the same taste brother, solid hog all the way for me, hoping to pull the trigger on a custom shop 12 fret, slotted headstock all hog 🪵
What are your thoughts on the D28 Modern Deluxe?
And was that a little Lady May thrown in?
Hard to beat the OOO 28 for the money. It really checks a lot of boxes.
"For the MONEY" Surely you Jest?
Yes . I have that one ! The pretty Martin ❤
That Gil Yaron is unreal.
Great video
I love your videos. May I suggest you invest in a gimbal? Sometimes the shake is too much. DJI makes a great one, and it's cheap. May not work if you are using a GoPro, but great if you are using an iPhone/Android.
I'm looking into one. I've got a Canon EOS R and need to fix the wobble. Thanks, Steve!
