  • A recording of a CSF training session explaining why ammonia is a problem, what measures are proposed in the Clean Air Strategy, what mitigation measures can be implemented on farm and what advice and grant funding CSF can offer.
    One of a series of webinars with partners to train them to support farmers to reduce ammonia emissions. These sessions serve as a good introduction to the subject or as a refresher.
    This recorded webinar was run with the Soil Association.
    Jeremy Sabel and Philippa Mansfield have collaborated to train multiple partners in agricultural air quality this past autumn and winter.
    Partners trained include farming groups, agents, local planning authorities (including Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks), Devon and Cornwall Wildlife Trusts, Westcountry Rivers Trust, major landowners such as The Duchy of Cornwall and Clinton Devon Estates, EA, National Trust and FWAG.
    Each session covers;
    why ammonia is a concern,
    what measures are proposed in the Clean Air Strategy 2019,
    what mitigation methods are available, and
    grant funding options
    Catchment Sensitive Farming (CSF) is led by Natural England in partnership with Defra and the Environment Agency. It works with farmers, communities and organisations in catchments across England to improve the quality of air, water and flood management through the Agricultural Transition.
