Yes i had to pay mark-up and all the other dealer add on . Two weeks later I got my wolf grey and my financing dropped 2% and the total price dropped 8,500. My payment is now 100 less a month. 700+ credit score and I'm happy now. I think the banks won't lend on way to much add ons and mark-up.

Kia is definitely stepping it up and have over the last several years! It would be a nice daily! Not sure they'd ever enter the full size truck world, but maybe compete with the Hyundai Santa Cruz or Ford Maverick possibly!

GT is MORE powerful than the EX. The EX looks really nice and has a lot of good features. Only differences I can tell is the mpg and hp. Since GT is powerful, it has more hp torque and all the good stuff. Either is good. EX will give you less hp but more mpg. GT is the same but opposite, more hp but less mpg. If you want power, either because you need it, or because you like the feel, then GT. Otherwise, the EX also feels nice and more luxury at a bit lower cost
Worth noting, if you got the AWD like I did it won't hold that 5th person cause that hump on the ground is like 8" taller due to the drive shaft for AWD.

Have a Optima now but apprehensive about getting another one due to the rod bearing problems with their past engines. Have they advertised how they have fixed this on the new engines?
The older engines had that problem , I had a 2015 Kia Optima and was hoping it needed a motor , who wouldn't want a brand new motor installed for free .
This is a really dumb question but you see I am VERY new to all of this, so my question is that if I go for the AWD will the add ons such as the heated steering wheels, or the sun-roof come with it? Or would I need to buy a different package? Also which transmission is this car 😅
The AWD will just give you the all wheel drive aspects. If you get this same trim level GT Line you'll have the same amenities. Go to KIA's website and configure a car and see what options are all available.

Well my 2022 k5 gt line with 4,500 miles is going to the dealer for repair tomorrow. Today the transmission jerked at the stoplight then about 5 loud bangs, while normal driving.I think it's in the trans. My car is in limp mode, still driveable, but no turbo. I'll follow up as soon as I know more.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed the service advisor told me to come back next week. But I'm good business friends with service manager. I instantly got a loaner and was on my way. Then I called Kia to report issue. Because they need to know if this continues or I lemon law the car. You never know.
@@BallinDay96 well I got it back 2 weeks later. They claim no issues found because no check engine light. They said they reprogrammed the transmission. I driven it a week now. It's running great. Idk at this point.

I wish we got the K5 in Europe (particularly the K5 GT). And 0-60 in 5.8 seconds in a 180 horsepower D-segment sedan? How is that even possible? A BMW 320i with one horsepower more does 0-60 in around 7 seconds.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Or you might have found a source that said the K5 1.6T does 0-62 in 5.8 seconds. A lot of people do 0-62 faster than what the car manufacturer claims. For instance, for the Peugeot 308 Hybrid 225 EAT8, they claim 7.5 seconds, but I found someone did it in 6.7 seconds.

The Kia K5 is a good looking sedan, they should make a station wagon variant and offer an all electric option for the entire line. Electric cars are in high demand right now, unfortunately. 🤭
I don’t think a more expensive sound option compared to a lower trim level is outrageous to charge more, that’s why it’s not standard and an option for someone who wants to add that system.

@@oreally8605 Have you owned one? I don’t think Kia or Hyundai are garbage vehicles. Model years before 2009/2010 I would agree, but they’ve stepped up their game and I would recommend one. I wouldn’t buy a new one because they depreciate quickly, but a good used one with a crazy factory warranty is a good deal.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Gentlemen. Kia Hyundai recalled thousands of cars last month for 🔥 fire hazzard due to the wiring wasn't designed correctly. I know a few people who owned kias and they fully regretted it. The resale is low because the quality just isn't there. They're cheap copy cat cars and the warranties aren't upheld for the most part. This isn't me just saying this- Consumer reports and a myriad of car enthusiasts know this. You will not convince me on that car company. They want to be Toyota/Honda/ Nissan/ but they fall very very far. I own a Scion xB. Toyota made quality -- 200k 300k miles easy if I wanted too. You know that. That's just my opinion on them. No big deal.
@@oreally8605 idk how recent you’re basing your comments on. There are studies done in December 2021 and February 2022 where 32 major car brands were surveyed and tested. Out those 32 brands Kia was reviewed as 3rd most reliable behind the obvious Toyota and Honda. There are other studies that have found that Kia has caught up to Honda and Toyota as far as reliability goes. I think Scions are ugly, especially the Model you have but I can’t argue that it’s a reliable car. Some studies show it as the most reliable model of all car brands. I can keep going with proof to show you. If you think they’re ugly it’s one thing. But Kia has stepped up its game
