katie when I lived in Hollywood, I got to see this play with John in it. Amazing. the music stays with you for days, weeks and even now I hum the music to myself. I saw the play in the early 2000s. Great music never goes out of style.
My sister turned me on to this movie. It forever changed my life. If Hedwig could find the strength to be the best you've ever seen even after the trauma he suffered at his own hands, then I can get up and punch the clock too!
I gotta go find my CD of this and put it on repeat in my car. Love the movie soundtrack. And the broadway musical too -- I saw NPH at his final performance, and was lucky enough to see JCM on Broadway when he played the part for a short while before injuring his leg. After a couple of days with the understudy, they arranged for Michael C. Hall to come back and finish the run. While MCH tied up some loose ends, JCM continued playing the part with his leg in a cast. Lots of corny jokes "You're all so lucky to see the show with the original *cast* (waving his leg around)." Loved it! And I would have *loved* to see Lena Hall (who won a Tony award for playing the part of Yitzhak) take over the role for one night only in San Francisco for the traveling production, with Darren Criss playing the part of Yitzak. My friends said it blew them away!
Check out his podcast! (Anthem: Homunculus) It started as a sequel, but became its own thing. However, there are Hedwig references, and it has a very similar feel.
His presentation is just so peaceful
I love Stephen and John. They have given me many positive goosebumps and shivers.
Such an amazing movie/play...and the soundtrack will blow you away! I still sing the songs....

I regret never seeing JCM in Hedwig on Broadway, but I did get to see NPH do it, and it was amazing.

JCM is Brilliant!!!!!!

I love his work entirely but a little baffled at no reference to rocky horror picture show. Especially in the movie.
"What's the other guy's name?" Good grief, how embarrassing. Wahi' Valleys
