Some excellent views of the city. Like so many of these videos of cities in this part of the world little is mentioned of their history. Clearly the era of rule by the Habsburgs comes through in the lovely restored buildings dating from the 19th century. Sadly no mention of the Nazi massacres during WWII. All memories of these terrible events erased or drowned in beer and coffee available at the multitude of bars and cafes.

Born and raised in Ivano-Frankivsk. ❤ Everything is spot on, apart from the Shevchenko Park part.
Typically on Sunday, since I can remember myself, the favourite Sunday time for our family and rest of the city was to scroll with a slow pace on 100metrivka and further to the park, spend the rest of the day there and back home, often by foot to any corner of the city bcz it was always possible and took max 2 hrs really.
Park itself had different functions back then, bcz of the amusement section of it, those installations were our favourite things to do for us kids growing up.
We always had an open theatre space in the park with something always on or benches just to chill, listening music from the speakers beside.
Now it is even more beautiful, favourite spot for all of us who know the soul of the city.
Thanks never the less for a chance to see my home city throughout your eyes, miss Franyk always. ❤
